Windbreak Dendrobium (石斛防风网; pinyin: shíhú fángfēngwǎng) is a plant in Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 2.6.0. update as an unlockable plant for the Heian Age world, being unlocked after clearing Day 11.

Windbreak Dendrobium can resist powerful wind attacks, losing a leaf each time it does, When all of Windbreak Dendrobium's leaves are blown away, it will be blown away like any other plant.

Windbreak Dendrobium starts off with two leaves, but with each additional adjacent Windbreak Dendrobium, it will gain one additional leaf and +25% more health.


Windbreak Dendrobium is based on the Dendrobium nobile, otherwise known as the noble dendrobium, a popular houseplant as well as a staple plant in Chinese herbology.

    Windbreak Dendrobium always insists on being in the front line of wind resistance, providing a safe atmosphere for the plants behind them and protecting them from wind damage.


Plant Food effect

When given Plant Food, Windbreak Dendrobium will restore its health along with all lost leaves and will begin using its top leaves as a propeller to attack and knock back all zombies in the tile ahead of it. If there are any adjacent Windbreak Dendrobiums, they will also activate their Plant Food abilities.


Windbreak Dendrobium's costumed effect heals Windbreak Dendrobium to full health, as well as all adjacent Windbreak Dendrobium.

Windbreak Dendrobium is a must-use plant in Heian Age, since it can prevent any wind attacks from blowing away different plants. Plant more Windbreak Dendrobiums on adjacent lanes can stack up more numbers of leaves along with more health, since Windbreak Dendrobium starts off with two leaves and much lower health, and if it instantly lose two leaves at once, it'll be blown away by the wind.

You must be careful with Gargantuars since they able to smash Windbreak Dendrobium with no problem whatsoever. Try to plant a low-sun cost plants like Puff-shroom to distract them.
