White Egret Flower Fighter Plane (白鹭花战机; pinyin: báilù huā zhànjī) is a plant in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the v2.4.6 update. He is a flying plant and as such is able to be planted on-air tiles in Sky City.

White Egret Flower Fighter Plane attacks by firing a high damaging rocket that briefly stuns. If a zombie is in front of him four tiles, he will fire a barrage of seven small projectiles. After a few spreads of projectiles, he will shoot a higher damaging rocket that briefly stuns.

Origins

White Egret Flower Fighter Plane is based on the Pecteilis radiata, otherwise known as the "White egret flower," a species of orchid native to Eastern Asia that is named as such due to its resemblance to the bird Egret, which is any white species of heron.

Strategies

White Egret Flower Fighter Plane's main purpose is in Sky City, as he is a flying plant, to use him properly in Hard mode, make sure that he is at Level 5, because after being leveled up to level 5, he will deal damage in the whole row, but in Easy mode, he can be used at level 2 or above (As it will increase the damage of each White Egret Flower Fighter Plane on the lawn)

If you haven't leveled him up yet, make sure to temporarily use Asparagus as a backup in emergency cases until your White Egret Flower Fighter Plane is leveled up.

Trivia

• White Egret Flower Fighter Plane, Ghost Pepper, and Orchid Mage are the only Monthly Special plants to be a flying plant.
  • This does not take into account Rotobaga, who was formerly a Monthly Special plant.
  • Concidentally, both him and Orchid Mage are based on some type of Orchid
• He is the fourth plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2 to have his own unique death animation, which is flying off as he launches a missile.
  • The other three are Bamboo Bro, Tall-nut (when leveled up in the Chinese version), and Strawburst.
  • The missiles he Shoots out does not do any damage, it looks like it because he fires a bullet after flying off, he also shoots one bullet out after the end of his Plant Food effect.
• He and Cob Cannon are the only plants that cannot be revived by Intensive Carrot when defeated.
  • This is because when defeated, he flies off so he technically doesn't get eaten.
    • However, he can be revived by Intensive Carrot when destroyed by other means (such as getting crushed by frozen blocks).
• Even though his almanac entry states that you won’t ever see him smile, you’ll actually see him smile in his dancing animation.
• Even though Hammer Zombie and Nunchaku Zombie can deflect his projectiles, it’s impossible for Jester Zombie and Excavator Zombie to eschew being damaged by his projectiles.
