Plants vs. Zombies Wiki
Plants vs. Zombies Wiki

This blog, like a lot of stuff I make on other fandom sites or in my sketchbooks, is basically a compilation of ideas that I would put to use if I actually had enough knowledge on game design/modding to do so. Here, as the title implies, will be a list of ideas I have regarding a potential PvZ2 Chinese-International Mod.

The basic gist is as such; a mod that takes the Zombies, Plants, Worlds, etc. of PvZ2's Chinese version and gives them various changes for an international version. This also includes buffs & nerfs to other Plants, and an overhaul to the Levelling system. To give an idea of what you're going to be in for, think of Mods like Reflourished or AltVerz, where new content in levels, events & even Plants are included in it.

Player's House (Tutorial)[]

Player's House acts as the tutorial world for PvZ2CI. It takes place on the front yard, the same as Day in PvZ 1 and Modern Day. Like with PvZ 1, the lawn progressively gets more lanes as it goes on (1 for Day 1, 3 for Days 2-3, 5 for Days 4-5). You have the option to skip the tutorial entirely, going straight to Day 5 for the final test.

Player's House - Day 1[]

Player's House - Day 1 is the first level of Player's House and the beginning of the Tutorial stages. When this level is finished, the player unlocks Sunflower and the Sun-Cost Gauge.

Dialogue[]

Tutorial: "Drag a seed packet to the grass. You can also plant by tapping the seed packet, and then on the lawn." (after placing a Peashooter) Tutorial: "Nicely done!" Tutorial: "Touch the falling sun to collect it." (after collecting the Sun) Tutorial: "Keep collecting Sun! You'll need it to grow more plants." (after collecting more Sun) Tutorial: "Excellent! Now you can plant a second Peashooter!" (after planting another Peashooter) Tutorial: "Don't let the zombies reach your house!"

Difficulty[]

  • As to be expected, the level basically plays itself; two Peashooters are enough to take down all of the Basics sent your way.
    • Even if the player gets overwhelmed, the singular Lawnmower they have can wipe out the entire horde.

Waves[]

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost one.
Waves Non-dynamic zombies Ambush zombies Note(s)
1 Basic Zombie2 None
2 Basic Zombie2 Basic Zombie2 None
3 Flag Zombie2 Basic Zombie2 Basic Zombie2 Basic Zombie2 Basic Zombie2 None Final Wave

Strategies[]

  • Seeing as it's the tutorial stage, this level is as simple as it can be.
  • Simply collect Sun wherever it appears and plant more Peashooters.
    • Make sure to plant Peashooters as close to the house (far left) as possible.
  • Just like with PvZ 2, the Lawnmower will respawn, so a Player can just do nothing for the entire level.

Player's House - Day 2[]

Player's House - Day 2 is the second level of Player's House. When this level is finished, the player unlocks Wall-nut.

Dialogue[]

Tutorial: "Sunflowers are very important plants! Try placing them in front of your Peashooters for an extra line of defence later on." (After collecting Sun) Tutorial: "Plant at least 3 Sunflowers." (After planting a Sunflower) Tutorial: "The more Sunflowers you have, the faster you can grow Plants."

Difficulty[]

  • This level is extremely easy, but can also be made a little harder due to the Sun-Cost Gauge.
  • As the Tutorial says, plant Sunflowers ahead of Peashooters. That way, your main offense is protected while Sunflowers can act as cheap, spammable meatshields that Zombies can eat.

Waves[]

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost one.

2 Basic Zombie21 Basic Zombie22 None
3 Basic Zombie21 Basic Zombie23 None
4 Flag Zombie22 Basic Zombie21 Basic Zombie22 Basic Zombie22 Basic Zombie23 Basic Zombie23 None Final Wave

Strategies[]

  • Place two columns of Sunflowers closest to Home or near the middle, then two columns of Peashooters behind or ahead of them. This should be enough to finish the level.

Player's House - Day 3[]

Player's House - Day 3 is third level of Player's House. When this level is finished, the player unlocks Potato Mine. Conehead Zombies are also introduced.

Difficulty[]

  • The only difference between this & Day 2 are the introduction of Coneheads.

Waves[]

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost one.
Waves Non-dynamic zombies Ambush zombies Note(s)
1 Basic Zombie23 Basic Zombie21 None
2 Conehead Zombie23 None
3 Flag Zombie2 Basic Zombie21 Basic Zombie22 Basic Zombie23 Conehead Zombie23 None Final Wave

Strategies[]

  • Try to get as many Peashooters as you can to defeat Coneheads.
    • If you picked 25 on the Sun-Cost Gauge, try to place more Wall-nuts to stall for time.

Player's House - Day 4[]

Player's House - Day 4 is the fourth level of Player's House. When this level is finished, the player unlocks Cabbage-pult. Buckethead Zombies are also introduced.

Dialogue[]

Tutorial: "Potato Mines are cheap, powerful plants. Use the ones that are already planted to build up more Sun!"

Difficulty[]

  • Bucketheads make it a little harder, but the pre-planted Potato Mines mitigate the early game.

Waves[]

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost one.

1 Basic Zombie21 Buckethead Zombie23 Basic Zombie25 None
2 Buckethead Zombie22 Conehead Zombie24 Basic Zombie23 None
3 Flag Zombie2 Conehead Zombie2 Basic Zombie2 Buckethead Zombie2 None Final Wave

Strategies[]

  • Whenever a Buckethead comes, plant a Potato Mine three tiles ahead of it, so it has time to arm.

Player's House - Day 5[]

Player's House - Day 5 is the fifth and final level of Player's House. When this level is finished for the first time, the player will obtain the Hot sauce. If the player skips the tutorial, then they end up here, and will unlock the Sun-Cost Gauge here as well.

Dialogue[]

(Crazy Dave appears) Crazy Dave: "Hey neighbour!" Crazy Dave: "Can I borrow that hot sauce?" (Crazy Dave takes out a taco) Crazy Dave: "I've been holding onto this taco for forever!" (Crazy Dave eats the taco) Crazy Dave: "Oh!" Crazy Dave: "That was... AMAZING!" Crazy Dave: "I want to eat that taco again! I need my TIME MACHINE!" (Penny appears) Crazy Dave: "Her name's Penny, and mine's Crazy Dave. Though, you can just call me Crazy Dave." Penny: "Finally, another user who can process my queries." Penny: "Let me postulate; Dave wants to go back in time to eat his taco... again..." Crazy Dave: "She's so smart! Now, let's go after my taco!" (Crazy Dave & Penny leave) (Dr. Zomboss appears) Dr. Zomboss: "Fools... Seek your taco, but soon you shall feast... on a taco of DOOM!"

Difficulty[]

  • As the final tutorial stage, the difficulty is ramped up a bit with an additional Flag.
  • Luckily, three Cabbage-pults are already pre-planted, so the early game is a bit easier.

Waves[]

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost one.

5 Flag Zombie24 Basic Zombie2 Basic Zombie2 Conehead Zombie21 Conehead Zombie22 Buckethead Zombie23 None Final Wave

Strategies[]

  • Plant Cabbage-pults in lanes 2, 3 and 4, since that's where Tombstones are.
  • Plant Peashooters & Potato Mines in lanes 1 and 5 to prepare for future waves.

Ancient Egypt (World 1)[]

Ancient Egypt is the first world for PVZ2CI. As the start of the player's journey, it's home to a variety of mummy zombies. There are 35 levels in this world, 8 plants to be obtained, and a plethora of new zombies to fight.

When Crazy Dave, the player & Penny travel here, Penny says that Dave must wait 4,500 years for his taco to be ready, placing them in the era of the Fifth Dynasty.

Ancient Egypt's main feature are the Tombstones. Tombstones spawn in at the start of levels, and later on, may even appear in the middle of them. Tomb Raiser Zombies and Anubis Zombies can also create them. They block off straight shots, and need to be destroyed by damaging them or planting a Grave Buster or Tomb Tangler on them.

Game Description[]

Zombies have infested one of Earth's earliest civilisations! Tackle mummified zombies & more under the scorching sun of Egypt, circa 2,500 BC!

Order of Events[]

After finishing Day 5 of the Tutorial, the player meets Crazy Dave along with Penny, and 'accidentally' travel to Ancient Egypt. During Day 1, the player is introduced to Plant Food. After completing Day 1, the Map of Space-Time-Ness is unlocked. The player unlocks Bloomerang after Day 2. After the player completes Day 4, they unlock the Power-Ups.

Obtained Plants[]

  • Bloomerang - Day 2
  • Iceberg Lettuce - Day 4
  • Grave Buster - Day 9
  • Bonk Choy - Day 13
  • Repeater - Day 19
  • Twin Sunflower - Day 24

Levels[]

Difficulty[]

As the first main world of the game, Ancient Egypt isn't difficult. The first 5 levels' lawnmowers will respawn after a use, so you can basically do nothing for those stages. However, while the first 25 levels aren't very difficult, the additional 10 levels prove much more challenging.

  • Easiest Levels: AE Level 1 to AE Level 5
  • Hardest Levels: AE Level 29 or AE Level 32 or AE Level 34
