Thyme Twist is a custom world I've been working on for a few months now. It currently has 2 parts, Part on has 8 levels and Part 2 had 12. Part 3 is being produced at the current time.

Levels[]

There are currently 8 levels in Thyme Twist. Day 8 is the Gargantuar Battle of Part 1.

Thyme Twist's Gimmicks[]

Portals, and the LevelJam feature are the gimmicks of Thyme Twist.

Portals[]

Thyme Twist uses the Modern Day portals to spawn zombies from methods other than the lawn.

LevelJam[]

LevelJam is a strip of code used in many Modern Day levels (and several Thyme Twist levels, transitively) which allows a specific Neon Mixtape Tour zombie to use its Jam ability, one example being jam_pop to make Glitter Zombies that appear utilize their protection power.

Thyme Twist Tricks[]

Thyme Twist uses several "tricks" to add specialized difficulty at specific points. These are the most common:

Disco Wizard[]

Disco Mechs and Wizards, up to five of each, in one wave. This makes your plants into sheep whilst spamming jetpacks. Get rekt.

Armoured[]

Armour2/3/4 spam.

Blow me Away[]

Spam of flying zombies, almost always Blastronauts and Pelicans. Usually accompanied by Disco Wizard as a combo.

Shoopdawhoop[]

Five or more Future Gargantuars in an early large wave, for the purpose of taking out the player's Sun producers.

Veteran's Day[]

(Usually a spammage) Multiple "veteran" zombies (The special zombies from the expansions) appearing in groups. One example is 3 Blastronauts + 5 Sunday Edition Zombies.

Plants[]

The plants used most often as preset on the Chooser levels are melonpult, powerlily and powerplant.

Zombies[]

Thyme Twist has several zombies, and some type-duplicates.

The Basicgroup[]

Basics[]

The basic zombies of Thyme Twist are Basic Zombie, Future Zombie, Jurassic Zombie, and Caveman Zombie.

The Coneheads[]

The Conehead variants of Thyme Twist are Basic Conehead Zombie, Future Conehead Zombie, and Jurassic Conehead Zombie.

The Bucketheads[]

The Buckethead Zombie Variants of Thyme Twist are Basic Buckethead Zombie, and Future Buckethead Zombie.

The Armour4-variants[]

The Armour4 Variants of Thyme Twist are Brickhead Zombie, Holo-Head Zombie, Amberhead Zombie, and Carthead Zombie.

Gargantuars and Imps[]

Gargantuar Variants[]

The Gargantuars of Thyme Twist are Basic Gargantuar Zombie, Gargantuar Prime, Sloth Gargantuar, and Jurassic Gargantuar.

Imps[]

The Imps of Thyme Twist are Baisc Imp, Bug Bot Imp, and Imppunk.

Special Zombies[]

The Special Zombies of Thyme Twist are Ra Zombie, Wizard Zombie, Torchlight Zombie, Shield Zombie, The Disco-tron, Blastronaut, Pelican, Veteran Bully, and Sunday Edition Zombie.

Blacklisted Zombies[]

Blacklisted Zombies are zombies that never appear in any Thyme Twist level without the assistance of portals, usually for difficulty reasons.

Blacklist[]

  • football_mech: Blacklisted for difficulty. It's easier to control with portals.
  • piano: F**ked if I EVER use this piece of trash in a level. TERRIBLE music, it could have been so much better if it was more like the Disco Mech -_- </rant>
  • prospector: Difficulty reasons. It's easy to kill but not in swarms or when hidden under swarms of zombies that are tanks, just better to blacklist it.
  • dark_juggler: Only spawned with portals, same reasoning as Football Mech
  • dark_king: Difficulty. May be used in Part 3 BECASUE OF that.

Other Stuff[]

Thyme Twist also comes with a few tweaks in the code of the game.

Thyme Warp and Gold Leaf[]

ValidStages is removed, allowing for the use of Thyme Warp and Gold Leaf outside of Neon Mixtape Tour, and Lost City, respectively. This also makes Hot Potato (and Tangle Kelp, Lily Pad, etc) usable outside of their respective worlds. This is important because in 5.9 (the update Thyme Twist Part 1 is modded into) Hot Potato can remove Squids.

Coins, Gems, lawn mowers, and Coin Bags[]

Coins are worth 25 in Thyme Twist, whilst Gems are worth 10, Coin Bags give 25 Coins, and Lawn Mowers give 25 coins each.

Multiple Parts[]

Part One[]

Thyme Twist is a custom world released in multiple parts, much like the worlds already in PvZ2. Part 1 was released with 8 Levels on April 14, 2017.

Part Two[]

Part 2 has 12 levels, and was released on April 30, 2017.

Part Three[]

Part Three will have 16 levels and will utilize the Wild West expansion zombies, and potentially the Jurassic Marsh expansion zombies, depending on the release date. Only three of the levels are currently finished, so it is not likely that this update will be finished before 6.1 (or even 6.2) is/are released.

Part Four...?[]

A Part 4 is planned, and if done, will have 22 Levels.

Thyme Twist Exclusive Zombies[]

Temporal Wizard (thyme_wizard)[]

This is an upgraded version of the upgraded Wizard found in the code for the Dark Ages expansion. It walks faster than a Basic Zombie and transforms plants twice as often, like the veteran Wizard. It also has a lot more health than the veteran version and it eats 50% faster. This zombie appears instead of the wizard starting in Part 3.

Twisted Gargantuar (thyme_garg (yes that's the actual code-name I'm using))[]

This is an upgrade of Gargantuar Prime. It walks much faster (GPrime is slower than a basic; Twisted Garg is faster than some existing Gargs) than before, and it has a little more health. It launches its imp at 100 nds before dying at 200 nds. Its lasers do 25% more damage, and it has a slightly longer range than Garg Prime does for where its laser can land. Its lasers also sweep a longer area, but the area is only 10% longer, so damage done is still notably higher. Its smashes are 1/3 as powerful, a Level 1 plant can survive its hits, by one, but it attacks four times at once instead of two, so it can kill a Spikerock or a Primal Wall-nut in one attack, however, it still takes the same a mount of time, so it is easier to stall it. Its laser attack happens once every 13 seconds, instead of every 12.5 seconds, but the delay before it attacks (when the laser is sticking out of the eyes but it hasn't swept yet) is 0, so it charges up then instantly zaps your plants, making it harder to stop the lasers. E.M.Peach still stuns it.
