In promotional threads, whenever I see these, they usually annoy me as they show an excuse to oppose a person. In my threads I will get faced by these reasons, so here is what should be disqualified:
"There's too many staff"
This wiki is already so big, and time zones can be an issue. Would this wiki run better with 10 admins or only 1? For a huge wiki we need more than a few staff. This also shows blind voting, since the second the user sees they run for an overpopulated position, they will oppose like this.
An issue found more in discussion moderator threads alongside a few admin ones.
"You're better not being promoted/You're better this way"
Really? Giving this with no other valid reason? This shows further blind voting since the user thinks that the user is just better not being promoted. Some do it just because if they get promoted, they could destroy the wiki the instant they reach it. Really it shows blind voting and rivalry.
Those votes will still be allowed is another valid reason is used.
So, should we ban these?
