It is that thyme of day again.

Heal and Rainbow heal beam need to be merged! But why?

Well first let me explain what are these.

Heal Beam is an ability for the Sunflower in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. This power allows the Sunflower to heal nearby plants.

    And the...

Rainbow Heal Beam is an alternate ability of the Sunflower's Heal Beam. Unlike other alternate abilities, it only changes the appearance of the Heal Beam to a rainbow colour and does not do anything special.

    Now decide!

You have a point, but they're still different abilities.

While they are almost the same, look what we did with Jurassic Imp and Garg.

They have differences. Rainbow Heal Beam heals faster and more efficiently.

That's completely false. Rainbow Heal Beam serves no additional purpose except for a projectile reskin.

Also false. The Rainbow Heal Beam used to be a bit faster, which could count as a significant reason.

Still no strong evidence that it heals faster than a Heal Beam. Even the description states it doesn't heal faster.

It did, but it was fixed in an update.

Still, it counts as a separate ability.

    • Not voting, just stating an opinion.

Rainbow Heal Beam may be a reskin (or may not, who knows? Has anyone actually dug through the code in both games to confirm that they are the same?), but it counts as a seperate item. You have to unlock it, it has a different desciption, it sparkles, has multiple spaces in the Stickebook that would be empty without it. I just think that we should keep it apart.

      NOT A VOTE!!!

EDIT: Also, doesn't a sunflower make different noises hen using the Rainbow Heal Beam?

They're truly the same ability. Anyone who has even played the games for at least 20 minutes after unlocking the ability would know that it has no alternate function. It has the same range, and same heal rate. The only differences are the color of the beam, how it's animated, and its sound. Please don't create misconceptions saying that it actually has any mechanical differences.

The name and design is different already. By this point we should technically merge all default 1/1 starting teammates in PvZH.

Please, don't start another merge/split war like with Cactus/Explode-O-Nut/Dandelion.

They are the functionality-wise, and who cares if they are different colors? It doesn't matter.

I know for a fact that the "healing numbers" (the green ones) for the regular heal beam are 5 each and the Rainbow Heal Beam ones are 2 each... in the first game. I don't know whether they are fixed or not. P.S. They have different names, which apparently is everything in merging/separating says most of the opposers in the Cactus separation war.

They both heal the same amount in the first game, perhaps you experienced lag for the numbers to build up. It's a shame the second game doesn't show how much you're healing per-second but in the first game it says "+2" for both beams.

Everything is fine now. That's no need to merge one ability to make the overall ability pages look strange.

Alternate is alternate, ability is ability, and also different abilities is different abilities. And you wanna merge them to a group? -_-

They are both the same. It is just for style.

Actually, the Rainbow Heal Beam allows you to heal from slightly farther away. I compared the two once, and the range difference is fairly large. The standard Heal Beam seems to heal more per second as well, although that might just be me.

Since when did it heal faster? Please show me a video that contains proof of this. What DLC was this fixed in?
