    • Can we start talking about new plants and zombies? Btw, I have a feeling that since BWB update, my excitement has got reduced softly. I don't know why, but I think it is because the new contents may make me bored too quickly. If only Lost City Part 2 or the next final words had something much more unique rather than with only 7 new plants, 30+ levels and no upgrades...

      Honestly, none of the new plants in LC Part 2 did not make me hyped. The first part of new worlds are still better than their Part 2.

      I am seriously looking forward to Imp Porter. This was once my idea for my future game. Hope that his tent will spawn every LC zombie except the Zombot, instead of just the basic boring zombies.

      I think it's only going to spawn imps, hence the name. Also, once you think about it, if it does spawn imps, it's just a clone of imp canon, in the fact that they spawn imps a couple of tiles away from the start.

      I think, like Dark Ages and Frostbite Caves, we will get a plant that is not a Lost City plant. Maybe Snapdragon or Cherry Bomb? Or even Citron or Blover? Anyway, for Lost City plants, probably Red Stinger, A.K.E.E. and Endurian.

      My thought is that they should give another Premium Plant during the boss battle, aka Jalapeno.

      That is very unlikely as that format has already been taken by Chinese PvZ 2. You see, their boss battles are Last Stand format levels rather than our Special Delivery type.

    • Gold Leaf is the only-sun related plant other than Toadstool (I'm pretty sure), the zomboss battles leave 1 premium out so it'll most likely be- Red Stinger, A.K.E.E, Endurian, Stallia, Lava Guava, ??? (Because Dark Ages and Frostbite Caves included some other world plant.)

      Actually, I'm pretty sure the changes in PvZ2 were EA's doing. PopCap was creating PvZ2, and had almost made all of Pirate Seas when EA bought PopCap. (Theorizing begins here) EA let PopCap continue making the rest of PvZ2 without involvement (WW and FF), and PopCap wanted to finish the game there (Temporal-tron). But then, Evil Arts (EA) wanted to gain a ton of profits off of this game and used some of their marketing techiques (two part worlds, less plants so you have to buy premiums, more premiums, no upgrades to spend more money on powerups and premiums) to leech even more money off of the consumer, and dragged PvZ2 out to gain more $$$s. That's why the first four worlds, the ones overseen by PopCap, were awesome, and the next four, overseen by EA, were, well, not as good. It was all EA's fault. It was just another step in EA's plan to take over the world.

      Yeah. And, look at this. Notice how Toadstool's damage is so little to the health of the Zombot, unlike Chomper's which does a third, because Chomper was never meant to be in a Boss Battle. Since Toadstool does so little, and not Chomper's OP damage, we can assume that Toadstool could be in the boss battle, as it works, as seen in this video. All they have to do is remove the sun producing effect like Brainulator said, and they'd be good to go. Although personally I think Lava Guava has a better chance of appearing in a boss battle.

      DA, BWB, FC, LC are better than AE, PS and WW. And it's good that game didn't end on FF. Two parts means quicker updates, rushing is different story, worlds could have 2 parts and not be rushed, still LC wasn't rushed, it was almost 4 months for part 1, and that's a reason why part 2 is on 30th. Ton of profites from premium plants? Most of premiums are for gems now so if you're not lazy, you can get them legitimately. It doesn't mean that EA doesn't have profit, but it means that you don't have to pay for game. And endless zone experience is different story again, you don't need to reach high levels, but if you want, you can buy some real money stuff.

      Yeah. Chompers were never meant to be in a boss battle. Here's one, but I'm sure you can find others by searching chomper vs zombot on YouTube. The action starts at 7:57.

      I see the good points too, but I can't help thinking about how all of those good points could all just be marketing techniques. Remember, the point of a company is to make money, and I'm finding it hard to stay neutral about EA when you think of how much goes into research to try to make more money, and how much EA and PopCap don't tell us about what goes on in the background. Just think about that.

    • Well, even with out the sun producing ability, toadstool still beats chomper in everyway. She has a way longer range, and instantly bites zombies rather than start scratching himself like a dog while the zombies are eating him.

      Changing the topic, does this game still even have a story? Because after WW, it seems like every world's "story" is the same. Zomboss threatens penny and dave in the vernacular of the time, and once defeated Penny and Dave ramble on a bit, then the go away. Why are we going to Dark Ages? Why did we make it to the 1960s, then somehow jump back a couple of 300000 years?

    • I have an idea for a new EXCLUSIVE gemium plant:

      Shuricane (pun on Shuriken and Sugarcane)

      Recharge: Fast

      Damage: Huge (we haven't had a plant that deals huge damage for a while)

      Sun cost: 375 ('cause why not)

      Fire rate: 1/2X

      Throws sharp shurikens at zombies that pierces through three zombies at once

      Special: When zombies come near, the size of the shurikens increases dealing more damage.

      Plant Food: Throws a barrage of Shurikens towards the sky and then it rains down.

      Shuricane always thinks it tough to throw those sharp shurikens at zombies. What if he suddenly misses and hits a plant instead? Others however, comfort him saying that he is best at what he does. It gives him strength, his motivation. He loves his floral brethren but is very much scared of Laser Bean though. Lasers might reflect of shurikens and that scares him.

      Intended counter against Excavators as those shurikens ignore his shovel

      I'm glad that you liked my idea. Also, the shurikens ignore the shovel and hit the Excavators meaning they will still hit two more zombies other than the Excavators.

      but then again, if Popcap hadn't accepted the deal, there wouldn't have been a PVZ 2 for us. so yeah.
      

      back to the topic, lost city boss battle be a normal level with 500 sun, since what would be the point of sun tile if they weren't used in Zomboss battles? Gimmicks in each world are used in that world's boss battle. The only exception is FC.

      Hey, i didn't knew about this whole thing with EA. now I understand why this game started to get sucks after FF. i don't think that i could stand another bad world. they really should bring better plants and better zombies. and stop trying make money from every update.

    • I don't want to bash on anyone's theory but seriously, there won't be a last stand boss battle, there will be the typical conveyer belt, Toadstool not taking away 1/3rd of Zomboss' health when hacked in is a mere coincidence, there are Trap Tiles, those can be used instead of Sun Tiles, the plants that will most likely to appear are Red Stinger, A.K.E.E, Endurian, Lava Guava, Stallia, etc, not Gold Leaf or Toadstool, and i don't want anyone to say that "these are just theories" or "don't crush other people's opinions", well this is my theory and opinion, oh and please don't comment on this

      Cherry bomb would once in a while come through the conveyor belt which can be only taken when you got 150 sun to pay. The seed packets do not have sun costs in Special delivery but here, the cherry bomb will have it.

      In large numbers they are a major pain and as expected, the intended counter is not enough against them (as the recharge for Hot Potato is too slow compared to how many ice blocks those idiots start pushing in Icebound Battleground at the same time).

      Personally I feel I have a better time dealing with the Hunters than the Troglobites. But the point is those zombies that are featured on the icon are a pain (from individual perspectives) no matter which way you look at them.

      It's just a matter of perspective BUL9. Some people find some zombies easier to deal with than the others while some may find it pretty oppostite.

      As you said, we need heavy firepower for those Troglobites. Sometimes before even you have a good setup built, they show up with renders the whole "use heavy firepower" thing kind of redundant. Also, no matter how much firepower we have, it doesn't negate the fact that he comes with a pack of Yeti Imps as his subordinates meaning he never comes alone and we have to deal with atleast 4 zombies at the same time (whether it's easy or not is an entire discussion entirely). On the other hand, I feel Hunters are easy because just plant a fire plant in front of them and abilities become useless and I know this we both agree on.

      When I play BWB I want to crash my phone against a wall because the levels are so annoying and impossible! Also bothers me that DA have only 20 levels, and BWB 32, and only introduces 5 new plants each one.

      Banana launcher - seems overpriced but in regular levels you just kill everything

      Rotobaga - very useful in BWB

      Stunion - better iceberg lettuce, useful too, even in some EZs like IB, if you don't have hypno-shroom of course

      Red stinger - OP for its price (offensive stance)

      Akee - just a different weaker cheaper laser bean but is not weak

      Endurian - ok-ish


      Gold leaf seems pretty useful too, especially in IB.

      I was talking about DA and BWB. FC and LC are Ok-ish.

      Of those worlds, I only like Lost City because of the theme, although I would like more if were a truly prehispanic world based. I don't like FC because I wanted a regular prehistoric world (like in PvZ:AS).

      About first 4 worlds, only one world that was cool in terms of diffucty- it is WW. With chickens, dynamite and bulls, It actually punish you for your mistakes. Both BWB and DA do that too.

      Whaat. Sun bean, puff shroom and fume shroom is very good plants. And both BB and Guacodile is good plants for challenges. Plus you could use guacodile as   jalapeno with fast recharge.

    • Are we even on topic now? I hope that relic hunter will be different than swashbuckler. Let's say just 1 swing before dropping and reaching 4th column instead of 5th.

      And since ra is weak and steals sun slowly, skull zombie should steal sun faster and without pauses. Energy ball may have power of citron's plasma ball. I think that I don't need to mention that you don't get your sun back after killing that zombie.

      Since imps are weak, imp porter should absorb 16 NDS and have speed of excavator.

It still does damage and cost 0 sun, and it's not even an insta-use plant, and it have fast recharge, and you can keep 7 of them on lane at the same time, and it also could be used to stan gargs, or as meat for octopi, surfer, wizard, fisherman, pirate capitan and excavator. There's litterally not even a single downside about it.

      DA proves that you are wrong. Plus, Sun bean's PF give you way more sun than regular sun plant (except when you have power tiles)

      When I play BWB I want to crash my phone against a wall because the levels are so annoying and impossible! Also bothers me that DA have only 20 levels, and BWB 32, and only introduces 5 new plants each one.
      I personally don't need more than 5 free plants and 2 pemiums but that's just me.

      You use winter melons everywhere so how can it be hard for you? You have blover and spring bean too, that's enough for day 23, while day 30 can be done without it although it's hard.

      After some tries you can complete BWB 16 and DA 13, you must be really impatient if 1 or 2 loses are pissing you off. In DA all other levels are easy just use cherry bombs, fume-shrooms and infi-nuts.

      You can't use Winter Melons in those annoying Conveyor-belts levels and in Bulb Bowling! Only that weak and useless Bowling Bulb e_e

      Can't you think of any plant other than Winter Melons? That will make Day 16 too easy. There's a reason they don't include WMs in conveyer belts of the main levels. Buffing Bowling Bulb is my proposal, make it attack like A.K.E.E.

This stalling part will only effectively work in Wild West if you put a PS on a minecart and then use the minecart to stall the Garg. Otherwise, in other worlds, PS cannot stall a Garg. It will just keep advancing (the reason I'm saying this is because I've tried it and the rceharge doesn't complete by the time the Garg destroys one PS).

      3. Same for Octopus Thrower. It targets plants randomly. If you want to deliberately put your PS as a meat, then you would have to keep the tile clean off other plants and then purposefully put a PS there so as to get it bound. That takes time ans is not effective.

      4. PS works against Wizards though I don't see the point in purposefully sheepifying a plant when I can just kill it with a Ghost Pepper ( Wizards never appear in the early waves and by then you should have a solid setup built).

      5. It works on Surfers and Fishermen, yeah.

      6. There's no point in putting 7 PS at once as I can use other plants that will stay on the lawn. I get it, you want to use him as an early plant but Potato Mine and Ghost Pepper works just as effectively as well. In some Ancient Egypt levels, graves will make a problem for your "7 PS strategy".

      Out of all DA and BWB plants, the only ones I find above average are Banana Launcher and Sun-shroom. Everything else is either average (Bowling Bulb) or sucks (everything else).

      That's why PopCap should've kept the old map style with Star challenges. There were four times more challenges as there are now.

      God, I miss those Star challenges. That's what kept me busy after I was done completing the levels the normal way for the frst time. There were so many challenges (even combined ones), that some of the challenges are not even used anymore in our game in the new worlds. But no, after v1.7 we got coins for our efforts (which was completely useless for me). They took away the most intriguing part from PvZ2 and left it empty.

      That doesn't mean that we cannot get another slot. An upgrade is always welcome for me in any game.

      Yes, I liked that buffed Fume Shroom. I've said this time and again, I like overpowered plants. I like having power by my side. Power that can annihilate my enemies (zombies btw) in one single blow so that I can laugh when they suffer against me. I don't need an instawin option (though given EA's greed, they might give this option to players later down the road). For a guy who can reach Level 100+ easily in Endless Zones without extra Plant food and boosts, the stats speak for themselves. I've never once argued about a level being too hard (and no one can prove me otherwise) in any world thread discussion (not even BWB Day 16). Also, what's not to like about that FS? Hits three lanes simultaneously? Sure, give me ten o'those and zombies are dead (again).

      So your wise remarks about giving an instawin option might work against others but I don't need that as it won't work against me. Give me some tough plants and an equally tough level and I can come up with a perfect strategy (no lawnmower lost, no extra PF or PU), no problem.

      I can perform well in any Endless Zone except for Tiki Torch-er. Arthur's Challenge and Icebound Battleground gives me some trouble, yes but they are atleast manageable once I have all the necessary plants that I need. Tiki Torch-er is absolutely hell for me. The highest I ever reached is 82 before I gave up.

      Wrong. It always bounds the nearest unbounded plant in its lane first. If there is no unbounded plant on its lane, it will bound the plants in the adjust lanes.

    • Seriously, I can't be the only one who thinks that putting Winter Melon in BWB - Day 16 would be too OP for the zombies? Out of all of the plants, really Balam? There's a rason WMs are not in conveyer belt levels in post- Wild West worlds. And yes, I know, Day 25 has WMs, but there's only 2 of them. The rest of them are other WW Plants.

      Why not some other plants that would make BWB - Day 16 fair like Snapdragon, or Laser Bean, or any other effective plants? The other Garg battles don't even have Winter Melons. And yet....(sigh). Even with these effective plants like I mentioned before, Surfer Zombie and Low Tides are still OP.

      BB used to be a strong plant, just so you know. It just had bad nerfs. The only way to make it fair is too nerf Surfers and Low Tides and buff Bowling Bulb and Chomper. I'm gonna message Popcap about Bowling Bulb and BWB - Day 16. Sorry for going off-topic, it's just.....ever since DA Part 2 come out.........I...(sigh)

      (on-topic) About the later worlds - I really feel like they are all great! Even DA is a great world after you come up to the best strategy (I couldnot believe my eyes when I finally got to complete part 2 without any coins or boosts spent). BWB is still very hard, altrought it is them ost complex world. The tides are one of the most geniunely built gimmicks, beeing very complex, but sadly not providing place for an useful strategy to be built, especially because we have very few plants to work with it! (Lily pad, Tangle kelp, Guacodile, Rotobaga). And about FC and LC beeing easy - they are just very masterable.

      The decompressor was designed specifically for PvZ2.

      That file contains the extracted section that contains the juicy game data. You don't need to have iOS, if you have been exposed to the OBB stuff this should look very familiar to you.

      So there are LC plants except of gold leaf, there's also bonk choy. Boulders are there too so it's a new gimmick, not brain buster. Flame trap is probably gimmick too. Did I skip something?

      So, according to the code, if I'm right, the plants given are Bonk Choy, Red Stinger, A.K.E.E., Endurian and Stallia. Any I am missing? 


      If so, I was right! I knew somehow there would be a plant that is not a Lost City plant. Otherwise I once though Stallia wouldn't be in the battle because of Stunion but I guess I was proven wrong.
