I already knew that Aquamarine does 2 damage, but looking at all the videos, Blue looked like it did a lot more than 5 damage, Orange could knock the cone from a full-health Conehead, and the PF one could knock the arm off a full-health Buckethead.
      But bowling bulb was nerfed.

Originally the Orange could OHKO a Conehead and the PF did massive damage. It did get nerfed, you're overestimating the nerfs. I watched the videos of people who got BWB early, and the Bowling Bulbs were more powerful than what you said. So unless the early release of BWB is different to the official release, you're wrong.

Weird. Maybe bulb bowling is a bit different? That's how i calculated it.

Orange couldn't kill basic zombie. I used aqumarine and he died.

After blue, zombie lost his arm. But aquamarine couldn't kill him.

Two power bulbs have degraded buckethead zombie into the zombie without his arm.

Actually the PF were like cherry bombs. They were made weaker becaus ePF can also hit multiple zombies instead of exploding, so it would be too OP.

Yes Pikachu, if someday Zombotany comes, some things are needed to be balanced out or else Zombies will be too powerful compared to the plants.

Maybe some new Power ups and a brand new type of Plant Food that has a different effect of some sort.

      1. Pianist appears for me. The only reason I can think of is sometimes Gargantuars block other zombies in Seed Slection Screen as they are too big compared to others. This usually happens in Endless Zones also.

      2. What about other zombies? Winter Melons are there to take care of them. Ghost Pepper can counter Jesters, Wizards. So, while you're using those to deal with them, Winter Melons will also do their jobs on freezing them. If by any chance, some of the Jesters deflect some melons, put Tall Nuts in front of them to protect them. That's it.

Imp Dragons, Knights, King and the Normal Zombie trio are no threat against 3 columns of Winter Melons. The only threat are those Jesters and Wizards. Just use Ghost Peppers against them and Imitate Ghost Pepper while you're at it.

Imp Dragons, Knights, King and the Normal Zombie trio are no threat against 3 columns of Winter Melons. The only threat are those Jesters and Wizards. Just use Ghost Peppers against them and Imitate Ghost Pepper while you're at it.

Allright, i'll try. Thanks for the tips.

    • I checked about Homing Thistle. When there was soft release (which makes Ghost Pepper costs 80 gems instead of 109), it WAS in the store, but only on iOS device, and it costs 80 gems just like Ghost Pepper.

Now, when I try to find its cost on the store, it says "could not be found".

So that may mean, when Homing Thistle officially launches, we'll have to buy it with 80 gems.

Sadly, if it would have been released on Android, I would have bought it instantly along with Ghost Pepper.

    • Finally I have the update and I have to say A LOT of things:

Firstable, the Ghost Pepper costs 109 gems instead of 80 gems. That is unfair! The people who have the soft release bough it for 80 gems, but the people that didn't have access to the soft release they have to buy it for 109 gems. UNFAIR, UNFAIR, UNFAIR!

      2. The Ghost Pepper only attacks forward and back, not in an area of 3X3 like everyone says. She is weak and disappear very quickly. She can't defeat a Buckethead by herself :/! I tried with the Wizard Zombie and they still transforms all my plants in sheeps e_e, is not really efective against the Wizard Zombie, so they don't have a real counter yet.

      3. The Twin Sunflower glitch is not fixed yet.

      4. The Bowling Bulb is just another weak plant, he can't defeat a buckethead by himself. Is just weak. The Lily Pad and Tangle Kelp are OK for the Big Wave Beach, but Tangle Kelp is useless when there is low tide :/

      5. The Big Wave Beach is not so hard like everyone says, at least until the level 8. I always hated the original Wall-nut Bowling in the original Plants vs Zombies, so I hate the level 8 because the same thing. The worst part is the level 14, is IMPOSSIBLE! The zombies spawns too early and in large numbers and the plants given are too weak! Besides that, I enjoyed the world so far, although I enjoyed more Far Future.

      6. The spawn animation from a grave in Dark Ages is glitched or something like that (looks awful now).

      7. And the most important thing: THEY STILL DON'T FIXED THE GLITCH IN THE ENDLESS ZONES! Like three updates ago that I can't play Terror from Tomorrow, BBB and DMB because of that :/

But I like that the Sandstorms returned to the Pyramid of Doom, so I will give it one point for that.

    • 1. That's kinda unfair. I wonder why did they change the price.

      2. GP is one of the best plants, but it's still not a good counter during Garg + Wizard levels. It is an okay-ish counter for Wizards during non-Garg levels.

      3. Thats really annoying, indeed.

      4. I agree. I'd rather use Laser Bean than BB.

      5. I managed to finish Day 14 witout Power-ups or additional PF, but I did lose some Lawn Mowers.

      6. The spawn animation is indeed weird.

      7. I don't know what glitch are you talking about, but I have to say that bringing back Sandstorms was a terrible decision. After killing the first 2 zombies in a PoD level, guess what happened? 6 Mummy Zombies were brought on the lawn by Sandstorms, right near my Twin Sunflowers, eating them in the process. Not to mention that that was a Garg level.

      2. Ghost Pepper is actually avery useful plant if you know how, where and when to use her. Plus, which plant to support her with.

      3. What glitch? Can you elaborate more?

      5. BWB is only hard in Levels 14 and 16. All others are doable without extra Power ups, Plant Foods or losing lawnmowers (I have done so).

In the Seed Selection Screen you doing click on the Options Menu. Below the Volume stuff there is two buttons. In spanish are called "Retirar" and "Continuar" (I don't know how are called in english because I play the game in spanish). When you doing click on the "Retirar" button you restarted the Endless Zone, but now only you back to the Welcome Page of the Endless Zone but you are still in the same level, but you lose the previous picked card (if was a sun or lawn mower card).

    • I think the guacodile will make the world easier, as it can be planted in water, one challenge in this world is that you need to simultaneously think about what you are going to plant, and plant lilypads. Also if they make a fog world, that would be cool, as I like fog, once I found my strategy. Finally beat part 1, a couple levels were really hard, but it wasn't Dark Ages part 2 bad, hopefully fisherman zombie and octo zombie won't be hard.

This is not a stragedy unless you are spamming PF on plants. These can be moved clser to the front. These must be used in conjunction with other plants. Makes sure there are plants to kill the imps released, like WM in the back or split peas or BLOVER them away, IF the PF doesn't kill the gargantuar before it releases.

But, use this only if you are willing to use Tile Turnip or in FF

The zombies spawns too early and in large numbers and the plants given are too weak! Besides that, I enjoyed the world so far, although I enjoyed more Far Future.

      6. The spawn animation from a grave in Dark Ages is glitched or something like that (looks awful now).

      3: What glitch?

4: I agree. Bowling Bulbs sucks, and Tangle Kelp can't help deal with one of the hardest things in BWB, the Low Tide Ambush.

5: The hardest levels for me were the one with the limit of 16 plants, and the Garg level. Oh that effing Garg level. I'd go as far as to say it's the hardest level in the PvZ series so far. Unless you count Garden Ops waves on Crazy Difficulty.

      - Jalapeno: no new

      - Pea Pod: no new

      - Lily Pad, Tangled Kelp, Bowling Bulb, Homing Thistle, Ghost Pepper: maybe can get 1 for each one.

===> Total: 83 new costumes (not included old costumes which can be unlocked normally in older version) can be unlocked in version 2.9.1, included Chomper's red hat, and beach's plants, and 3 new costumes added (bonkchoy, repeater, kernel-pult).

If only in Halloween parties (where Popcap says "limited-time costume"), then I guess there are 74 costumes in total (not included Chomper's red hat, and beach's plants, and 3 new costumes added - bonkchoy, repeater, kernel-pult. Yes because of the "limited-time costume" title). And all these 74 costumes are scrapped costumes which have already existed in the file of older version (2.7.1).

Interesting info. But do these costumes have any special ability?

Also, when are these costumes gonna appear?

It has something to do, with adding bytes in .obb although the game instanly crashes for me when doing that.

Maybe the same with the way I change to Fire Peashooter in vasebreaker

They probably realized that there are tons of premiums for real money and the rest being earned with hard work can still bring in revenue through purchasing gems.

    • Big wave beach part 1summary:

      1. Very fun and challenging, challenging especially.

      2. Plants; Lily pad:cute. Tangle kelp: great, useless on low tides, but handy when those gnarly bucketheads try to eat our  source of cleverness. redesign  awesome, animation graet. Bowling bulb: useful, but weak, and the cost is a little bit too high, orange and blue bulb recharge too slowly.Overall: not bad,but could be better.

3.Zombies: Good old basic, conehead and buckethead nasties. Not a big problem.Surfers make problems.Fast, crush plants, make tomboards. They are making me almost crash my tablet. Melon pult disposes of snorkels easily.

      4. Levels: Bulb bowling is super fun. Most  plants picked levels hard, because i dont like their generic sunflowerwallnutpotatomine combo. Low tides  devastate my lawn, and those mermaids do the rest of the job. Plant food nessecary. Low sun on Last stand levels.

      5. Summary:Fun, challenging, but makes you break something when surfers spring into action. Lack of powerful plant. 8/10

Homing Thistle is not weaker than a cattail. It´s spikes do 2 NDS and fires at the rate of a peashooter. Cattail´s soikes dealt one damage at twice the speed of the fire rate of peashooter. HT costs the same as cattail, 225+25. It can also be planted in ground unlike cattail, making it beter than cattail. Also, you do not have to purchase an upgrade, and its going to be gem prem. It´s beter than cattail, do the math.

Edit: It´s not a word only plant, has a fast recharge unlike cattail and does not fire additional spikes after the zombie died. All this for the same cost of cattail and no need to bring a lily pad.

That's what I'm worried about. If I don't get a costume from the normal Pinatas, pretty much my options are limited to Senor Pinata which is once every 5 days.

So, if these costumes are limited time only, it will be a darn hard battle to get them all.

Potato Mine, Cherry Bomb, Imitater Cherry Bomb, Squash, Lily Pad, Tangle kelp, Starfruit, Ghost Pepper.

      Starfruit: Leftmost 1 column.

The rest 1000 sun for Instant use plants for coverage (especially Cherry Bomb for taking out large groups). Don't use Lily Pads unless necessary.

I've seen it, it shoots as fast as a Cabbage-pult. Hence, 2 damage per 2 seconds means it's the damage of a Peashooter, while a Cattail did the damage of a Repeater.

Add to that the fact that in PvZ2, almost all non-AoE plants are USELESS because of the massive crowds of zombies, and Homing Thistle is not worth a single gem unless it gets massively buffed.

Cattail wasn't OP. I only ever used it in Survival Modes and no Sunflower Strategies.

And anyway, Winter Melon was REALLY OP, and became even moreso in PvZ2 due to the recharge timer being reduced and it no longer being an upgrade AND GETTING INCREASED SPLASH DAMAGE AND RADIUS.

I don't think they really care if a plant's OP.

So now there's a 99% chance Cattail won't return. The 1% means it will get a new ability.

Cattails only grow in wetlands showing that they need water. It wouldn't make sense for a plant that's aquatic in real life to be planted away from a source of water..

A burning tree powering other plants, butter and peaches stunning zombies, mushrooms stealing metal objects..... The list goes on

The first thing to break logic is the name PvZ now let's stop talking about logic because it's broken

Cattail wasn't OP. I only ever used it in Survival Modes and no Sunflower Strategies.

I don't think they really care if a plant's OP.

It was only OP when it is in large groups

Maybe thats why people find BWB difficult. You can't use it as effectively anymore so people find it hard when they can't find a good strategy to set up rows of them.

Due to its cheap cost and decent recharge, if they didn't nerf it, Bowling Bulb would be the only plant you'd use.

It does do multi hits, but an AOE effect plant can do more damage for less sun per zombie. And while the orange bulb is OK the other bulbs seriously lack in damage in terms of how slow the shots are.

Compared to how hard the levels are on average for the Beach, the Bowling Bulb feels a little to weak/expensive.

I really don't think (money greedy) PopCap would make you wait a year. I'd say a couple times a month, for a couple of days. They alternate plants so that one time its Ghost Pepper, next time it's Pumpkin, etc. Anyways, speaking of Pumpkin, look at this 100% legitimate (no sarcasm) picture of Pumpkin on the Halloween parties "Click to Play" thing. Perhaps Pumpkin will be readded as a limited time premium in a random bug fix update or something. PopCap HAS to do that.

Okay, so as I found out, it does actually shoot as fast as a Peashooter, I was mistaken there. That said, it's still useless in PvZ2 because in most levels, especially in Dark Ages and Big Wave Beach, tough zombies are spammed by the first flag, so Homing Thistle, or anything else that lacks crowd control, will not cut it.

Homing Thistle shoots spikes that homes in on nearest zombies (but only one at a time) and costs 250 sun with mediocre recharge.

At least we have some pretty new plants like Ghost Pepper and Homing Thirstle.

Guacodile costs 175 sun and shoots seeds at enemies from a long distance.

However, it is supposed to rush through the lawn killing everyone when any zombie comes to it.

    • Anyone else think chomper could be better if it just gave bites instead of eating the zombies? Because it deals 10 NDS and that´s a lot of damage in a short rate of fire, it could finish off normal zombies in 1 bite, coneheads in 3 and gargs in 18. It would work well if paired with kernel pult and/or iiceberg lettuce.

Look at that picture and I guess PopCap had already drawn him. I'm thinking that with that art, PopCap may add him, but I'm not sure.

I hope so. He's got to have more of a use than just on a teaser. Ya know what would be cool? If PopCap his the data files for Pumpkin somewhere really weird, like in the costumes code, and Pumpkin was in a Pinata Party and all of the hackers were like, wut HOW!

    • I'm pretty sure we'll have Pumpkin soon. My thoughts-

Plant Food effect: Makes two Pumpkins (top and bottom) and increases health by gaining armor.

Rest are same as first game (Of course, with a polished design). Costs Gems: 120.
