Confusing or not, it's a great way of organisation in the Wiki, and a good way to implement it as well; if the categories are taxonomically well distributed, the Wiki may feel the positive changes and have a great way of distributing content.
I think the organization is nice, but I think the galleries should be combined back, especially taking an example like Peashooter (PvZ)/Gallery, which contains lots of pictures of merchandise and artwork made well after PvZ1's time, that is still classified under this area. Either a separate gallery for "other" images, or a combination of all games' galleries I think would be preferred.
I like it; it makes sense to me. Pvz and Pvz2 plants technically function differently, so they should get their own pages. Plus, like many uses have previously said, it avoids clumping. I actually think it helps avoid confusion because on some pages with the same plant in several games that function differently its difficult to tell which minor details pertain to which version of the plant/zombie.
a pain in the ass to work with over 100 plants and zombies but soon the work will be worth it, after all you have a disambugation page in which you can press when you are in pvzh sweet potato when you wan to be in pvz3 sweet potato
I'm just fine with it. That way people will know what the article is talking about. The article might mention something like a Sweet Potato and people will get confused thinking that Sweet Potataoes are in PvZ one. Plus, other fandoms do this when multiple of the same kind of character is in different platforms, like Optimus Prime, who has many different versions and has to be referered to with what series you are talking about. So I am just fine with this.
I don't like it. It just dose not make sence to have a page for the plant but also a page for the plant in every game its in. It just a lot of bloating. Other wikis i use don't do that unless the characters are from difent series. Just lik PvzZH and PvZGW.
Some plants & Zombies in PvZ1 & PvZ2 are exceedingly different, even there're the same. For example, Spikerock is no longer upgradable plant since "upgrade plant" not return in PvZ2.
Moreover, Blover in PvZ2 has a half-lower price and he can blow a lot of airbone things, even Imps thrown by Gargantuar while in PvZ1 he can't.
Newspaper Zombie in PvZ1 is the weakest zomibe in Adventure mode but in PvZ2 he is tremendously annoying. With a higher speed when he loss his Newspaper and his health is a lot higher,. These make him the most annoying zombie in PvZ2 (Even more than Octo!!)
So I really agree with your idea :) We should seperate "PvZ1 & PvZ2" to make PvZ fandom clearer :)
I liked the unity. I think it made figuring out things on each plant more convenient. The only real separation I believe there should have been was two different pages for plants that have the same name but are completely different.
I think this is the moment this wiki has been waiting for. The Garden Warfare Series is also too confusing, maybe separating it would make navigation easier, because Garden Warfare 1 and 2 are separate games, with separate characters. This is a miracle. Take my suggestion and PLEASE DO IT! PPPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE! The separation will make navigation easier!!!!!!!!!!!!
Separate is better, it may bring confusion especially to new players looking to try the game. it also make it easy to search what you want. If the pages were joined, for example, walnuts from every game would confuse some people
