The Great Cave Raid

The Great Cave Raid is the second mission on the zombie side in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. The main opposing plant hero in this mission is Spudow. This mission also features Citron and Solar Flare as opposing plant heroes.

Plot (Spoilers)

Dr. Zomboss, Super Brainz, Rustbolt and Electric Boogaloo have found a hidden cave under Suburbia. Zomboss plans to make it into a new secret hideout, but first he orders his minions to get rid of any plants nearby. Hearing this, Spudow comes out of the ground nearby and attacks by lobbing his head at them multiple times. It eventually ends with Super Brainz, who came up with the idea after a while, use his cape to tie down Spudow's head so at to completely stop attacking the zombies.

Encounter Battle

This deck is built using Bullseye and extra damage cards. Keep an eye on Prickly Pear, Berry Angry and Berry Blast, your force will be ruined in a short time.

Teammate Battle (I)

Strength-wise, Citron's deck wil not stand up to Rolling Stone and Weed Spray due to almost all plants having low strength. Hence, a hearty hero is best suited for this battle.

Mini-Boss Battle

This deck is similar to the Encounter Battle, with a few changes. Remember, keep an eye on Berry Blast, Prickly Pear, and Berry Angry, as it may overwhelm you in early-game.

Teammate Battle (II)

Most of Solar Flare's cards are weak health wise. It is best you use a Crazy hero for her since they have access to direct-damage dealing cards such as Bungee Plumber.

Boss Battle

Again, beware of Berry Blast, Berry Angry and Prickly Pear, for they can ruin you early game. However, you also need to be aware of the fact that Spudow can also boost his Sting Beans with Berry Angry so as to do more unblockable damage.

• In Dr. Zomboss' final line of speech, he mentions the last three words "Lair Sweet Lair," this being a pun of "Home Sweet Home."
