Teleportato Mine is an explosive plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2 first introduced the 9.4.1 update. She instantly arms herself upon planting, then warps the three closest zombies on top of her before exploding, dealing extreme damage in a 3x3 area.
Origins[]

Teleportato Mine is based on the Potato Mine, who in turn is based on the potato, the starchy, tuberous root portion of the plant Solanum tuberosum.
Her name is a portmanteau of teleport, and potato mine.
Almanac entry[]
Note: The stats shown below only apply to Level 1.

Teleportato Mine teleports zombies to her location, then explodes. Teleportato Mine's heard the "Help me! Help me!" joke a million times before but she smiles anyway. It's a classic! |
Upgrades[]
Bombard-mint effect[]
When boosted by Bombard-mint, Teleportato Mine will only take 1 second to warp zombies and her damage is increased to 3600 damage. If she is at level 10 or Mastery, Bombard-mint will do nothing to her.

Strategies[]
Teleportato Mine is an overall effective plant. She can be used instead of Potato Mines to clear out the first few zombies on the lawn (three Potato Mines cost the same as one Teleportato Mine) and destroy graves too while she teleports zombies. Compared to Potato Mine, she has a much bigger AOE, and potentially destroy zombies further back. She can also be used as effectively a Primal Potato Mine with a faster recharge during flags (although Primal Potato Mine can have his area upgraded, which can be seen as a point in his favor), as Sun is generally not an issue by now. Last but not least, unlike other counterparts, Teleportato Mine's explosion can be used to hit airborne zombies.
Teleportato Mine is generally better placed near the front of the lawn as she will be able to affect both the horde near the front of the lawn as well as take out the zombies that have snuck through your defense.
Strategies that apply to other Potato Mines can also be applied to her, although she does not have a Plant Food effect, so be wary about that. If you are abusing Power Tiles or Tile Turnip, you may want to bring Primal Potato Mine instead, as he can spam dupes of himself to clog up the area, dealing extreme damage to whatever he hits.
You may want to be cautious of Mecha-Football Zombie, as unlike the other mines, she will get pushed while she is "arming" and could potentially mess up your defenses. However, this can be rectified by planting Teleportato Mine towards the front of the lawn.
You should use her carefully as she can remove all of the negative effects on zombies, similar to Thyme Warp. Do not place her near the Zombot Tuskmaster 10,000 BC because if she gets covered in ice blocks, teleported zombies become completely invulnerable. This is a glitch. Be careful when placing her in hordes as she may get eaten before she can teleport zombies and explode - this can be solved by planting her inside Pumpkin. Like all of her variants, Teleportato Mine can't be planted on top of Lily Pad. Using her also counted as a losing plant in the levels where there is limit for players to lose plants.

Trivia[]
- Teleportato Mine is the only Potato Mine in the tower defense games that does not need to arm herself before exploding. Rather, what is listed as her "arming time" is instead how long she idles before activating her ability.
- She is also the only Potato Mine to not have a Plant Food ability.
- Despite not having a Plant Food ability, she has an animation for being watered in the Zen Garden. The animation can be seen when she is ready to level up.
- She, Puffball, Ice Bloom, Heath Seeker, Rhubarbarian, Chilly Pepper, Cran Jelly, and Bud'uh Boom are the only instant use plants released after Far Future to have this distinction.
- While Primal Potato Mine can be considered as the primal or Jurassic Marsh counterpart of Potato Mine, Teleportato Mine can be considered as the futuristic or Far Future counterpart of Potato Mine due to her futuristic design and abilities. This is somewhat corroborated by an official Reddit post describing Teleportato Mine as "possibly ahead of its time!"
- Both also explode in a 3x3 area (unless Primal Potato Mine is leveled up, in which case his AOE is larger).
- Although she was available before Tiger Grass, Teleportato Mine is listed after them in the Almanac.
- Unlike other underground plants, Teleportato Mine could be planted on a Lily Pad. However, as of the 9.6.1 update, she can't anymore. She can still be planted on wooden planks in Pirate Seas.
- There is a glitch where, if the Excavator zombie throws Teleportato Mine while she is about to teleport it, the zombie will stay still and be totally invincible.
