Super Pea Jump is an alternate ability for the Peashooter's Hyper ability. It makes it jump much higher but does not make it move faster like Hyper. It can be unlocked only via the Sticker Packs. Like most of the other alternate abilities, it was first introduced in the Garden Variety DLC. It takes 25 seconds to recharge.

Stickerbook description

The Super Pea Jump allows the Peashooter to get atop places he was unable to reach before, but at the tradeoff of speed.

Strategies

With

The Super Pea Jump is well-geared for dedicated support Peashooters who like to provide long-range support from high vantage points rather than fighting enemies head-on. The extra jump height allows the Peashooter to reach places that would normally be off-limits, allowing it to provide long-range support by shooting peas at incoming zombies and using the splash damage to flush out those who are hiding behind cover. The Agent Pea is a good choice for sniping in this fashion due to its above-average zoom and damage. While Agent Pea has 25 less health, you are not expected to engage in combat unless forced to do so.

Alternatively, the Super Pea Jump can also be used offensively. By activating it and using it to jump around and over your opponents can make you extremely hard to hit, allowing you to get some easy kills if your aim is good. Even if it is not, splash damage will support you as long as you're not using Agent Pea or Law Pea.

Against

While being effective offensively, defensively, and utility-wise, it can be countered with the Engineer's Sonic Grenade as it will deny them from jumping for enough time to make the ability expire and allowing you to vanquish them if they get hit by it. The Imp's Gravity Grenade also counters this by immobilizing them.

Comparison with vanilla counterpart

Pros

  • Very high jumping power, allowing you to reach places normally off-limits and scale structures that would normally take two jumps with Hyper

Cons

  • No speed boost, making it a poor choice for escaping zombie foes
  • Lasts for a shorter amount of time

Trivia

  • It has a total use of four jumps if the player continuously jumps.
  • When the player jumps with this ability, there will be a "sproing" sound.
