Sap Trap is an ability for Acorn in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. When activated, Acorn launches a sticky knockback explosive sap ball which can be detonated manually by pressing the same button that launched it.
Launch a sticky knockback explosive. Press [left button] to detonate.

Knock enemies farther away with Acorn's Sap Trap.
Sap Trap and Super Sap Trap knocks enemies 10m (32.80 ft) backwards and 10m (32.80 ft) upward.

Sap Trap refreshes faster if it doesn't deal any damage.
Reduces the cooldown duration of Sap Trap to 1 second if it does not hit an enemy.
Strategy
With
Aim well: if it lands directly on your target, it can do 4 times as much damage as if it is only detonated nearby. Very useful against smaller enemies and enemies with low health, such as the Imp.
Against
If the Acorn misses you, run so the Sap Trap doesn't affect you. If you see a Sap Trap stuck on an ally, destroy it for XP.
Trivia
Sap Trap is the only ability that Acorn retains when riding atop an Oak.
