She is a melee plant like Bonk Choy, attacking zombies by poking them when they come near, slowing them in the process. As Pokra continues to attack, her attack speed will increase. After attacking at maximum attack speed for a short time, Pokra will then launch a piercing projectile similarly to Cactus, with said projectile slowing all zombies it hits. After that, Pokra will rest for a couple seconds before attacking again. |

Two Pokras deal enough damage to consistently kill infinite Jurassic or Gladiator Gargantuars when at level 4. |

⚫ | As Pokra's slow is the same effect as Stallia's, Pokra synergizes excellently with both fire-based plants such as Pepper-pult and Fire Peashooter, as well as ice-based plants such as Winter Melon, easily fitting into any strategy, and Sap-Fling can also be used to slow down zombies. |
||
+ | |||
⚫ | However, Pokra herself is not invincible. Like most other close-ranged plants, she cannot deal with being attacked from range, and thus zombies such as the Wizard Zombie (and to a lesser extent the Octo Zombie and Hunter Zombie, as other Pokra can counter their abilities), the Jester Zombie while she's reflecting projectiles, the Turquoise Skull Zombie if Pokra is placed out of range, and the Boombox Zombie can disable all Pokra and prevent them from attacking. Pokra can only attack zombies in front of her as well, making her weak to zombies that sneak up behind her, either through Pterodactyls, or Prospector Zombies. Dinosaurs in general can often move the zombies right on top of or behind Pokra, thus preventing her from spacing herself against the incoming zombie horde. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Pokra is a great pick against Chicken Wrangler Zombies or Weasel Hoarders, as the critters they release can quickly be dealt with because of how fast Pokra attacks. You can use Vine Plants like Pumpkin or Gloom Vine to neutralize their threat if you think Pokra might not stab them in time. Pokra is an excellent choice against Mecha-Football Zombies or Fisherman Zombies (except when placed out of range) as she can often comfortably deal high damage to them. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Pokra also makes a great option to deal with Imp Porter and Arcade Zombie, since the zombies that come out of the tents and arcade machines are no tougher than Bucketheads, which she can easily destroy. Even if the spawner isn't close enough for her melee to hit them, her ranged attack will eventually tear it down. |

Pokra is a plant featured in Plants vs. Zombies 2, that was first introduced in the 7.5.1 update. She is a seasonal plant, being the featured plant of Pokra's Party Season.
She is a melee plant like Bonk Choy who repeatedly hits all targets two tiles ahead of her (slows zombies for 2 seconds). After each attack, she stabs an additional time for future combos until the fourth, whereupon she launches a penetrating spike (slows zombies for 3 seconds) and rests for 3 more seconds before resuming her attack cycle.
She can do 10 attacks in total in a cycle. Each cycle takes 3.5 seconds to finish (it take 0.5 seconds for Pokra to launch a piercing projectile).
From September 9 to 26, 2019, she was available in "Pokra Early Access Bundle", which costed $14.99 and gave Pokra herself and 100 seed packets for other plants upon purchase.
Origins
Pokra is based on the okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), also known as lady's fingers (which contributes to her appearance), a flowering plant in the mallow family.
Pokra's name is a portmanteau of "okra", the plant she is based on; and "poke", the method Pokra uses to attack zombies.

Pokra |
Pokras deliver piercing, zombie-slowing jabs that speed up to a crescendo and a powerful spike launch, then they rest momentarily before starting again. Pokra's scrappy, she's a fighter, she's not afraid to jab below the belt to get job done. She won't, because that would be cheating, but she's not afraid to. "Just so we're clear," she says with a resolute glint in her eye. |

Plant Food effect
When fed Plant Food, Pokra will launch three projectiles. Each of them will inflict 500 damage and also slow zombies down for ten seconds.
Spear-mint effect
When boosted by Spear-mint, Pokra's melee attacks do an additional 480 damage, her ranged attack will do an additional 2600 damage, her Plant Food attacks will do an additional 2600 damage each, she will always fire 12 PF projectiles, and her projectile slow duration is increased to 6 seconds.

Strategies
Generally speaking, Pokra is the second most powerful plant (after Headbutter Lettuce) and she makes an excellent choice in almost all Endless Zones with/without support from other plants. Compared to other close-range melee plants such as Bonk Choy, Wasabi Whip, and Parsnip, she is easily the most self-sufficient one available because she has an integrated slow ability and rapid area attacks, not to mention her low cost. Pokra is self-sufficient enough that using a Wall-nut isn't required, as Pokra generally kills most zombies before they even reach the Wall-nut or her.
Beware Jester Zombie, as the projectile, and the PF projectile can be reflected. Although, if placed close enough to the front of the Lawn, this can be circumvented.
Pokra synergizes quite well with Explode-o-Vine, Blastberry Vine and Pyre Vine, as the extra defenses and attacks that Blastberry Vine and Pyre Vine provide do not take up any extra space ahead of Pokra. Pyre Vine is especially useful with Pokra as its fire does not interfere with the slowing effect Pokra possesses.
Explode-o-Vine is probably the best vine to use with Pokra since, unlike the previously mentioned vine plants, Explode-o-Vine has higher health which means it will protect Pokra for longer compared to other vine plants. Pokra is also exceptionally good whenever the player is not allowed to spend too much sun due to her low sun cost. Trivia
- There is a glitch which causes Pokra's PF projectile to deal the same damage as her normal one.
- There is also a glitch which causes Pokra's ranged attack additional damage when powered by a Power Mint to increase from 600 to 2600. This is due to the glitch mentioned above and the sub type in her actions wrongly writing as "1" instead of "2".
