This is a strategy page for Pogo Party.

Pogo party is among the most difficult minigames. We have therefore created this page to make the the level a bit easier to beat. If you are new to this level, don't be beaten down if at first you don't succeed; it is a tricky level that takes practice even among the best of us.

Strategy 1[]

Plants needed:

Screenshot-PogoPartyTheEasyWay

Pogo Party the easy way

  1. Sunflower
  2. Tall-nut
  3. Coffee Bean
  4. Fume-shroom
  5. Gloom-shroom
  6. Imitater Tall-nut (If you're lucky (about half the time) you don't need this)

Strategy:

I uploaded a video to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb9bkc1bkG4

1) Plant five Sunflowers in column one. This is all you actually need.

Optional: Once you have your five Sunflowers, allow your sun to build up to at least 175. Then, add more Sunflowers to column three. This is not necessary at all as sun is usually not a problem and you will have to remove the two in rows two and four later on, but if it makes you feel better.

2) Hence forth, never plant anything unless your sun is over 125.

3) As soon as a Pogo Zombie appears, drop a Tall-nut in his row in column two. It's important that you do this immediately (which is why you never let your sun go below 125) so that the tall-nut has a chance to recharge before the next zombie appears. This isn't quite so critical if you are going to wimp out and use the Imitater, but try not to, just for the satisfaction of saying you did it with only five seed slots.

4) Let the zombie eat the Tall-nut. He'll be a while. you're in no rush to kill him.

5) Once you're sun is well over 125, drop a Fume-shroom, Coffee Bean or Gloom-shroom in either row two or four, column three. Whichever is closest to the first zombie (you don't want him to eat too much or you'll have to replace the Tall-nut later)

Note two things: a) you have to build the Gloom-shroom in stages. don't rush it. You MUST always keep 125 sun for a Tall-nut in case the next zombie shows up in an empty lane and b) if the first two zombies show up in rows two and four, don't be tempted to put the Gloom-shroom in row three and kill them both. Put it in row two or four, whichever is closest to the first zombie.

6) Continue blocking zombies as necessary. Use the Imitater if you absolutely must, but remember to make that decision early since the Imitater takes time to transform and a Pogo Zombie can jump over it before the Imitater is finished transforming. If you don't need to block the next zombie because it's in a row that already has a tall-nut, take the opportunity to continue building the Gloom-shroom.

Remember: you only need two Gloom-shrooms; one in row two and one in row four. Don't go building extra ones until all Tall-nuts are in place and the rows two and four Gloom-shrooms are in place.

Some points to remember: You should be finished after about 3.5 minutes. After that you can sit back and watch the carnage.

Five Sunflowers, five Tall-nuts and two Gloom-shrooms are all that are necessary, although I find I usually have to replace a Tall-nut toward the end.

It's counter-intuitive, but place your defensive plants (the Tall-nuts) behind your offensive plants. It will work if you put the Tall-nuts in front too, but then all the zombies (pogo and regular) will get a chance to eat your Tall-nuts, and you'll have to replace a number of them as you go along (not just one or two). Putting the Tall-nuts behind the Gloom-shrooms does two things: First, it kills the regular Zombies before they can eat anything at all, and second, it forces the Pogo Zombies to take eight hits before they hit the Tall-nut, dismount, and start eating. Hence they only take a couple of bites before dying.

When it's necessary to replace a Tall-nut, don't panic. Remember that after eating the Tall-nut the zombie has to eat the Flower Pot, but the Gloom-shroom will kill him first, so you have time.

Once you've got the basic twelve plants set up, you can embellish it a bit by adding Gloom-shrooms to rows one, three and five. If you do that, you won't need to worry about the Tall-nuts as no zombies live long enough to take a bite.

Strategy 2[]

By Joshua, 11

Plants needed:

1. Sunflower

2. Snow Pea

3. Kernel-pult

4. Squash

5. Jalapeno

6. Melon-pult

7. Twin Sunflower

8. Flower Pot

Any other plants (except for Tall-nut and Magnet-shroom)

For starters on this level, it is extremely hard to beat, so this walkthrough will be like a holy grail for you. First, rush to plant as many Sunflowers as possible in the first two columns. Use a Squash to kill the first Pogo Zombie. For the second one, plant a Kernel-pult in that lane to take care of it, or use a Jalapeno if necessary. For the next zombie, plant a Flower Pot on the part of the roof where the angle dissipates, allowing peas to pass. A Snow Pea will go there to deal with the Pogo Zombie in that lane. Start planting Snow Peas where the angle ends until you have one in each lane. Now plant Twin Sunflowers on your Sunflowers to receive more sun, and be sure to add two Kernel-pults in each lane for extra firepower. It is also optional to replace some of the Kernel-pults with Melon-pults for fun and a higher damage per second. Once the final wave is destroyed, tap the trophy to complete the level. My strategy will also earn you the “Sproing! Sproing!” achievement because of a lack of Magnet-shrooms and Tall-nuts!

Note: You can use the Cabbage-pult instead of the Kernel-pult because its butter does not freeze the Pogo Zombie.

Strategy 3[]

Plants_Vs._Zombies_Minigame_19

Plants Vs. Zombies Minigame 19

Video of the Pogo Party Strategy with Chompers and Melon-pults

This strategy can be used with nine or less slots.

  • Sunflower
  • Flower Pot
  • Tall-nut
  • Chomper
  • Melon-pult
  • Winter Melon (optional)
  • Squash
  • One to three more plants of your choice (preferably Instant Kills)

Do NOT use the Potato Mine. Also Magnet-shrooms are completely redundant with the Tall-nuts. See video for full walkthrough of the strategy.

Strategy 4[]

By: McZaky29

Alright, these are the seeds you're gonna pick. Only nine slots are necessary.

If you have ten seed slots, pick Jalapeno as well.

NOTE: THIS STRATEGY HAS BEEN PROVEN TO WORK!

NOTE #2: MAKE SURE YOU'VE PURCHASED A RAKE! VERY IMPORTANT!

Start by planting two rows of Sunflowers in the second and third columns from the left (NOTE #3: YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PLANT TWO ROWS OF SUNFLOWERS BY THE TIME THE POGO ZOMBIES START COMING) . When the first Pogo Zombie after the one that kills itself with the rake comes, plant a Tall-nut in the sixth column of his lane. Once you have enough sun, plant a Cabbage-pult in the fourth column. Keep doing this with the other zombies. Eventually, you're probably gonna want to plant some Melon-pults - DO SO IN THE FIRST COLUMN!!! It is very important that the Melon-pults are at the back so they are protected, as they are one of your most important plants in this level. If you're not planting Tall-nuts or Melon-pults, plant some Magnet-shrooms in the fifth column. Make sure you have one of each plant (except for Sunflowers) in its respective column. Once you've done so, you're in the clear! This makes this mini-game very easy.

Strategy 5[]

Start planting a single column of Sunflowers in the back. Once these are all up, start planting Cabbage-pults in the second column. Plant a Tall-nut in the sixth column in the row the first Pogo Zombie comes in, and start planting Kernel-pults in the third and fourth columns. Whenever they recharge, plant Tall-nuts and Imitater Tall-nuts in the sixth column, and Squash any Pogo Zombies that come where you do not have a Tall-nut yet. Once all of the Tall-nuts are up, plant Melon-pults in the fifth column and upgrade Sunflowers into Twin Sunflowers until the level is over.

Strategy 6[]

Build the two rear rows as Sunflowers, and be prepared to let the first few zombies trip the Roof Cleaners. Always place a Tall-nut on such a row first, three rows past the initial line of starting pots (sixth column from the left). Place the Chompers in the next row back and the Kernel-pults behind them, which will easily let you deal with attackers while you save up for melons. This is the best option for Chompers, as they can attack the row directly in front of them and help protect the Tall-nuts while the butter and melons wreak havoc from the rear. Twin Sunflowers will make it easier to build up the Winter Melons as often as you can afford to plant them.

Strategy 7[]

Build the two rear rows as Sunflowers, and when zombies shows up, start using Squash and Imitater Squash

Powo Warty

whenever a Pogo Zombie attacks on the lane without any offensive plants; squashes are recharging enough fast to keep using them repeatedly. Finish planting Sunflowers and keep collecting enough sun to build a Melon-pult on the second or fourth lane, covering it with a Tall-nut on the fifth column. Whenever possible, keep upgrading Melon-pults into Winter Melons and Sunflowers into Twin Sunflowers, always using Squash when necessary. Once you manage to make a column of Tall-nuts and Winter Melons, the rest is a piece of cake - just keep planting the Melon-pults on the fourth column until the end of the level.

Strategy 8[]

On the first rear row plant Sunflowers when the first Pogo Zombie appears put a Cabbage-pult in the other rear and a Tall-nut in the next Flower Pot. Use Squash to beat the second Pogo-Zombie or if you choose the Imitater Tall-nut do not! Later in the level replace the Cabbage-pults with Melon-pults and Winter Melons.

Strategy 9 (The "Flower Pot-less strategy")[]

This strategy is guaranteed to win and doesn't require the use of extra Flower Pots. Start by planting a single column of Sunflowers in the back. When the first Pogo Zombie comes, Squash it. By the time the second Pogo Zombie appears, you will likely have about 200 sun. If you do, plant a Tall-nut in the third column of the zombie's row; save up sun until you can plant a Melon-pult behind the Tall-nut. If you don't yet have 200 sun, let the Roof Cleaner take care of the second zombie. When the third Pogo Zombie comes, place an Imitater Tall-nut in its row (unless your regular Tall-nut is recharged) and Squash it. Every time a Pogo Zombie comes down an undefended lane, place a Cabbage-pult where it is, and (if its lane doesn't have one) a Tall-nut. Once you have your Cabbage-pult/Melon-pult defenses and your barrier of Tall-nuts complete, begin replacing Cabbage-pults with Melon-pults, and your top and bottom Sunflowers with Magnet-shrooms (don't forget to wake up your Magnet-shrooms!) And remember to replace Tall-nuts as necessary. Keep doing this and you'll win the level in no time!

Strategy 10 (Grounded Strategy)[]

Note: This strategy will not earn you the achievement 'Grounded'.

Choose these plants:

Picture 12
Plants_vs_Zombies_Pogo_Party_(easy_strategy)

Plants vs Zombies Pogo Party (easy strategy)

A similar strategy for Pogo Party

Plant Sunflower on column three and four. Use Squash for first Pogo Zombie. If the second Pogo Zombie appear, plant Tall-nut on back of that row and Split Pea on front Tall-nut. Do this until all row have Tall-nut, if Tall-nut recharging and there is a Pogo Zombie on row without Tall-nut, squash it. If all row have Tall-nut, plant three column Starfruit in front of Sunflower. If you have it, bring the Imitater Tall-nut so you do not need any instant kills.

Strategy 11 (4 Stage Strategy)[]

Disclaimer: This strategy is an edited version of a YouTube video strategy. The original strategy does not belong to the person who wrote this version.

When placed correctly, this strategy should win every time. Roof Cleaners, Wall-nut First Aid and the garden rake make it easier, but are not required. This strategy is called the "4 Stage Strategy" because it's built in four stages. There are only eight plants used:

Stage 1: Start planting a column of Sunflowers in column one. You should have enough time to plant all five and have plenty of time to collect sun before the first zombie appears. Save up at least 150 Sun, then when the zombies appear, plant a Flower Pot and Tall-nut in column four in the same row. Save another 100 sun, then plant a Cabbage-pult right behind it (in column three). Repeat for the remaining rows. If a zombie appears in an already protected row, plant a Kernel-pult in the empty Flower Pot behind the Cabbage-pult.

Stage 2: This step is rather simple. Fill column two with Kernel-pults. Note that butter will not immobilize a Pogo Zombie until he loses his pogo stick. If the player is quick enough, these two stages should be completed before the first flag.

Stage 3: You should start planting Twin Sunflowers during both Stage 3 and Stage 4. Do not plant them all during Stage 3, or you will waste valuable time. Start planting a second column of Flower Pots and Tall-nuts in column five. There are three reasons why this is done. First, if you plant them in column five during Stage 1, they may get eaten about half way into the level, leaving you vulnerable (You do not want to learn this the hard way). Second, this will prevent you from requiring Wall-nut First Aid, which would waste both sun and recharge time. Third, this will make room for the plants required for Stage 4. Again, wait until a zombie appears to decide where to plant them.

Stage 4: If you already have two to three Twin Sunflowers at this point, Stage 4 should be relatively easy. While continuing to plant Twin Sunflowers, start replacing the Tall-nuts in column four with Melon-pults. Melon-pults have a fast recharge time, and since they cost 300 sun, having Twin Sunflowers will help you plant them faster. You should have at least one to two Melon-pults planted before the second flag. If there's more than one Pogo Zombie is a single row during Stage 3, start planting your Melon-pults early (Note: It may be a good idea to first plant your Melon-pults behind Tall-nuts that have reached the first stage of damage instead of lanes with a lone Pogo Zombie. This will help reduce the need to waste sun on Wall-nut First Aid. It should also be noted that lanes with more than one Pogo Zombie take higher priority than lanes with damaged Tall-nuts).

The time of which zombies appear varies between game systems. You may not always have time to plant all five Twin Sunflowers before the end of the level. As long as you have Melon-pults in every row, you should be guaranteed to win. If you have Wall-nut First Aid, you can prevent the zombies from completely eating a Tall-nut, but requiring it is only occasional.

Note: When planting Imitater Tall-nuts, they must be planted quickly, or the Pogo Zombies may jump over them before they can be transform. This is extremely important during Stage 1, as you will not have enough defenses to stop them. If this happens, you may end up losing the level (or a Roof Cleaner).

Note: If the entire set-up is complete before the final wave, Bungee Zombies will not drop surprise attacks past your Tall-nuts.

Strategy 12[]

Pick these plants:

Start with as many Sunflowers as possible, and stop when you got 15 of them. When a Pogo or a Zombie comes, use the Squash. Repeat that until you got 15 Sunflowers and enough to buy a Repeater. Build Repeaters in column five so the peas could hit zombies. Remember to put Tall-nuts in front of them. If you've got 300 suns or above but your Repeater is still recharging, simply plant a Melon-pult in column four. When you've got a column of Melon-pult and a column of Repeater already, simply double the Melon-pult in each row. Relax, but pay attention to your Tall-nuts.

Strategy 13[]

Pick these plants:

Start off with gathering sun by planting Sunflowers in the back two lanes. When the first couple zombies come, squash and Roof Clean them. When about a minute of zombies pass, use the Cabbage-pult in the lane after the Sunflowers. Also, Kernel-pults in the lane before that, and Imitater Tall-nuts just after the Pogo Zombies. Next, put in Tall-nuts in the lane after the Melon-pults. By this point, you shouldn't need Squash. Also by this point, the first huge wave should be coming in. Put a Flower Pot two squares before the Tall-nuts (there's a small chance it will be eaten, because zombies are weak, and Pogo's don't eat) and you can either put a Cherry Bomb or Starfruit in that. The Starfruit will be SUPER useful, because it all five sides will be able to shoot (it will be worth all 125 sun) and the Cherry Bomb will come in handy also. Keep the Flower Pot there, because it most likely won't be eaten, and you can save sun. Also, replace the Cabbage-pults with Melon-pults. When you start getting Winter Melons, plant them in the third lane (that's the lane with the most zombies, and it will hit zombies in the other lanes) and then put in next one in either the 2nd or 4th lane (Depending on if more zombies are in the first and fifth lanes) Then, you may not have time, but put the final two in the remanding lanes. If you picked Cherry Bombs, use them during the other huge waves (they will be recharged by then). The Bungee attack in the end isn't much of a threat in the end if you use this set-up.

Strategy 14[]

Mpc-hc 2011-09-16 11-54-43-12

You will need

Putting the Squash at the back allows you to have more time to prepare whenever a new wave of Pogo Zombies arrive. Doom-shrooms really work really well when placed at the center so I prefer to reserve that area for them.

The empty spaces based on the picture allows every lane to be protected by Cherry Bombs and Jalapenos if in case you need to recharge those squash at the left side. Ice-shrooms should be used when there are huge waves or when most of your instants are recharging. This strategy will earn you the achievement Sproing! Sproing!.

Strategy 15[]

Choose:

Step 1: Plant two columns of Sunflowers in the in the very back.

Step 2: After a zombie takes out a Roof Cleaner, plant a pot and then a Tall-nut in that pot in the sixth column from the left in the row without a Roof Cleaner, do in all rows.

Step 3: Now, after all Tall-nuts have been planted or a zombie is getting too close, plant a Cabbage-pult in the third column from the left in the order of the rows the zombies come in.

Step 4: Plant Kernel-pults in the fourth column from the left.

Final step: Plant a Magnet-shroom in the center of the fifth column from the left then plant them in the rest of the column. Planting it in the center is important because it can reach all of the rows from the center.

Strategy 16[]

Plants needed (eight to ten seed slots)

Beginning:

Start by planting two columns of Sunflowers in columns one and two to the left. When the first Pogo Zombie appears, squash it. When the second Pogo arrives, put a Tall-nut in column three and a Split Pea and Flower Pot in column five in its lane. Squash the third Pogo Zombie. Put a Tall-nut in column three and Split Pea and Flower Pot in column five in the fourth Pogo Zombie's lane. Continue this pattern until each lane has a Tall-nut and Split Pea in columns three and five respectively. Before the first wave begins, this is how your setup should look like:

First, plant some Sunflower. When the Pogo Zombie appears, let it pass. Then plant the Tall-nut or Imitater Tall-nut in that place. Continue planting Sunflower and Tall-nut or Imitater Tall-nut until you fill the required space with Tall-nuts or a Pogo Zombie appears on a row that's already been crossed. Plant a Snow Pea in the back or Split Pea in front (don't put Pumpkin yet, too expensive) and finish planting Sunflower, Tall-nut or Imitater Tall-nut, Snow Pea and Split Pea. When the first wave is about to come, prepare to put some Pumpkins as well. If all done right, you will win.

Strategy 18[]

Plants needed:

First, plant three Sunflowers. For the first zombie, put a Tall-nut in third lane and Cabbage-pult in the second. Now plant one Sunflower. Repeat. When you have a zombie but Tall-nut is still recharging, use the Imitater Tall-nut. After the first three lanes are full, move to the next one without Flower Pots. Use columns of plants in this order: Kernel-pult, Starfruit, Snow Pea. After that, Melon-pults are recommended.

Successful strategy 19

Working Strategy 20 with all optional plants with the Night Roof background (right)

First, plant Sunflowers in column one, when a Pogo Zombie comes, use Tall-nuts to block him. Plant two Cabbage-pults where the Pogo Zombie eats Tall-nut. Continue building strategy (repeat step two and three) until you get this strategy:

S C C T X X X X X
S C C T X X X X X
S C C T X X X X X
S C C T X X X X X
S C C T X X X X X

Legend:

S = Sunflower | C = Cabbage-pult | T = Tall-nut | X = Blank

If you have enough sun, replace the Cabbage-pult in column two with Melon-pult

So, it will be like this:

S M C T X X X X X
S M C T X X X X X
S M C T X X X X X
S M C T X X X X X
S M C T X X X X X

M = Melon-pult

NOTE: This strategy has been tested by Drek'TharSuperSword and it's 93% works! But if you use this strategy incorrectly you may lose.

OTHER NOTE: You may plant the Melon-pults at row three instead of row two.

OTHER NOTE: You may also buy garden rake.

Strategy 21 (Modified Strategy 20)[]

Use these plants:

First, plant Sunflowers in row one, keep planting. When a Pogo Zombie comes, use Squash to kill him. The second Pogo Zombie will come, so plant a Tall-nut in row four to block him, then plant a Cabbage-pult in row two and three where the zombie comes, also plant a Split Pea in front of Tall-nut They will kill him. Repeat step three until you get this build:

S C C T SP X X X X
S C C T SP X X X X
S C C T SP X X X X
S C C T SP X X X X
S C C T SP X X X X

Legend: S = Sunflower | C = Cabbage-pult | T = Tall-nut | SP = Split Pea | X = Blank

Now, plant Split Peas in row seven and eight. Protect them with Pumpkin.

Now your build will be like this:

Roof Cleaners are REALLY RECOMMENDED.

Start planting Sunflowers until you get one or two rows done. Let the first zombies go to the Roof Cleaners. Then start planting Tall-nuts and Cabbage-pult. Use squashes for first zombies or emergencies. Rakes can be used.

Strategy 23 (Centered Threepeaters)[]

Pogo Party is one tough hombre!

I almost listed this winning approach as a mere variation of strategy eight because it also relies on Imitater Squash, however, there are some unique differences, and I believe more explanation of the strategy will be useful than is found in the strategy eight version. Here are the dramatist personae:

Flower Pot

Sunflower

Pumpkin

Melon-pult

Tall-nut

Squash

Imitator Squash

Threepeater

Garlic

Jalapeno (optional but strongly recommended)

Garden Rake (optional but recommended)

Phase 1) Plant Sunflowers as fast as possible in row two. When first Pogo Zombie appears, plant Squash or Imitater Squash in back row of that lane (note that Imitater Squash requires several seconds to arm itself, which is why the back row is more useful for this purpose). As you gain sufficient suns, begin spending them as follows: a) plant Squash in back row ahead of time, always reserving one charged or nearly charged Squash for the row in which the next Pogo Zombie will attack (until you have squashes in all rows), b) place Flower Pots on row four...it is vital that there always be at least one empty Flower Pot in each lane, so always stay ahead of your Sunflower planting by one Flower Pot. (In the event that you lack sufficient time to plant a Squash on a row being attacked by a Pogo Zombie, you can then plant the Jalapeno in the empty flower pot of that lane (this should not be necessary unless you have mistimed your Squash plantings, but hey, nobody's perfect).

Phase 2) a) As soon as feasible, place a Flower Pot in the seventh tile of lane three of the zombie area.  Plant a Tall-nut in that flower box. Plant a flower pot behind the Tall-nut and plant a Threepeater immediately.  Add a Melon-pult to your lane three as soon as you can. (note that once you plant the Tall-nut in lane three, you no longer need to plant Squash in lane three). As soon as you can afford to do so, enclose the Tall-nut in a Pumpkin.

Phase 2 b) Plant Flower Pots in zombie area in lanes one and five on the center tile, and plant Garlic in each.

Phase 3) Plant another Flower Pot behind the Threepeater and plant a second Threepeater.

Phase 4) Plant Flower Pots in center tile of zombie area in rows two and three, and plant Tall-nuts. Enclose in Pumpkins as soon as possible.

Phase 5) Plant flower boxes behind the Garlics and plant Tall-nuts. Enclose in Pumpkins as soon as possible. Plant Melon-pults in rows one and five as feasible.

Needless to add, you will need to continue to plant Sunflowers, and replace Garlic, Tall-nuts and Pumpkins as needed in the course of events. Your initial ideal configuration would look like this:

Squash Sunflower Sunflower Flower Pot
Squash Sunflower Sunflower Flower Pot
Squash Sunflower Flower Pot Flower Pot
Squash Sunflower Sunflower Flower Pot
Squash Sunflower Sunflower Flower Pot

Your final configuration will look like this:

final configuration
Melon-pult Sunflower Sunflower Optional Garlic TN-P
Melon-pult Sunflower Sunflower Sunflower TN-P
Melon-pult Sunflower Melon-pult Melon-pult Threepeater Threepeater TN-P
Melon-pult Sunflower Sunflower Sunflower TN-P
Melon-pult Sunflower Sunflower Sunflower Garlic TN-P

Strategy 24[]

Pick the following plants:

Sunflower

Flower Pot

Tall-nut

Imitater Tall-nut

Magnet-shroom if you don't have Imitater

Coffee Bean if you took Magnet-shroom

Wall-nut if you took Magnet-shroom

Cabbage-pult

Melon-pult

Whatever else you want

Start with as much sun as you can. You won't have enough for ten Sunflowers, but the cool down should be long enough that you should already have 125 sun by the time the level starts. Plant a Tall-nut on row four on the column of the Zombie and get a Cabbage-pult as soon as possible. When the second Pogo Zombie comes, Magnet-shroom + Wall-nut it or use your Imitater Tall-nut and add a Cabbage-pult. Continue doing this for all the zombies and slowly replace the Cabbage-pults with Melon-pults. With a Melon-pult and a Tall-nut on each lane, you should be able to kill every zombie.

Strategy 25[]

NOTE: This strategy will require you to lose some Roof Cleaners. If you are lucky, you may not lose it like the screenshot below.

Pick these:

Build of Mini-cob

Result

  1. Sunflower
  2. Flower Pot
  3. Cob Cannon
  4. Kernel-pult
  5. Cabbage-pult
  6. Tall-nut
  7. Imitater Tall-nut
  8. Jalapeno (for emergency)
  9. Cherry Bomb (for emergency)
  10. Squash(for some first zombies)

Start planting a column of Sunflower, when a Pogo Zombie comes, squash it. Then plant a Flower Pot and Tall-nut at column six for next Pogo Zombie, then plant Flower Pot and Cabbage-pult at column six to kill it. When you have enough time, place squash for next Pogo Zombie, then plant a Flower Pot and Imitater Tall-nut at column six for next Pogo Zombie, then plant Flower Pot and Cabbage-pult at column five. Repeat these steps so It'll be like this:

First build
S C T
S C T
S C T
S C T
S C T

S=Sunflower|C=Cabbage-pult|T=Tall-nut

Remember to replace the critically damaged Tall-nuts. Then plant more Cabbage-pults with Flower Pots at column four, then plant Kernel-pults at column three, then plant a Kernel-pult at row three column two. Next, plant Sunflowers at column two (don't plant at row thee because it's Kernel-pult), when you have enough sun, place Cob Cannon at that two Kernel-pults (row three) so it'll be like this:

Second build
S S K C C T
S S K C C T
S Co (U) C C T
S S K C C T
S S K C C T

Co=Cob Cannon|(U)=Unplantable (Cob Cannon's space)|K=Kernel-pult

Then, just use the Cob Cannon if there are many zombies. If there is any zombie passing the Tall-nut (dropped by bungees at the final wave), use Cob Cannons. Remember to replace any critically damaged Tall-nuts!

Start planting a column of Sunflower. When a Pogo Zombie appear, planting a Squash to squash the Pogo Zombie. When the second Pogo Zombie appear, start planting a Tall-nut in column 5.Then,plant a Cabbage-pult beside the Sunflower to shot the Pogo Zombie. Also, plant two column of Kernel-pult beside the Cabbage-pult. Repeat step 3 to 5 until you have plant a column of Tall-nut and Cabbage-pult and two column of Kernel-pult.

Strategy 27 - Strategy for 6-9 slots and no Imitaters (very easy)[]

Plants needed:

Strategypogos

The strategy that will certainly win, even with 6-9 slots and without any Imitaters!

In case of need, fill the remaining slots with the following, if you have more slots:

With this strategy, you will not need any Imitater plants (however, you can use them if you have them, and you have more than 6 slots). First, plant all the 5 Sunflowers in column 1. After it, place a column of Flower Pots in column 4. Meanwhile, Pogo Zombies may start to invade, use a Squash (only 50 sun, save up for it) to wipe out the first one. For the second Pogo, you will have to have enough sun to plant a Tall-nut in front of him. When he starts to eat the Tall-nut, save up the 100 suns and put a Cabbage-pult behind, so it will kill the Pogo slowly. Do this until you have Tall-nuts in column 4, and Cabbage-pults in column 3. After the first wave is done, you should now save up for the Melon-pults. Plant one into each row in column 2, and the strategy is done! (Be patient though, 5 Melon-pults cost 1500 of total suns, so it may take a couple of minutes to plant all of them.) If any danger occurs, just first-aid your Tall-nuts, or use some instant kill plants, if you have more than 6 slots (or just use the good old Squash).

Strategy 28 (Grounded and Sproing! Sproing! strategy)[]

Plants required-

Others optional except for Tall-nut and Magnet-shroom.

First, you want to plant one row of Sunflowers and get ready for the first Split Pea.

Strategy 29 (Tall-nutless)[]

Sunflower

Snow Pea

Cabbage-pult

Squash

Imitater Squash

Jalapeno

Cherry Bomb

Melon-pult

Flower Pot

Plant Sunflowers on the first two columns then plant the Cabbage-pult's and replace some with the Melon-pult's when you can then on the columns before the fifth one plant Snow Pea's on the fifth column then you are done.

Strategy 30[]

This strategy is easy.

Pick: SunflowerTall-nutMelon-pultWinter MelonImitater Tall-nut, Squash, Cabbage-pult.

Begin planting 1 column of Sunflowers and 1 column of Tall-nuts/Imitater Tall-nuts. After, plant a column of Cabbage-pults. When you have about 500 sun start removing the Cabbage-pults and plant Melon-pults in their spaces. Replace damaged Tall-nuts/Imitater Tall-nuts. Plant Winter Melons how fast you can and BAM!

- AmSaMuSworld

Strategy 31[]

Plants needed:

Garden Rake is not needed.

Instead of other mini-games, this mini-game starts a bit longer than others so that you will have time to set up your Sunflowers.

Plant Sunflowers on the third and forth rows. When the first Pogo Zombie arrives, plant a Tall-nut on the first row and delay it. After the Pogo Zombie loses his pogo stick, plant a Split Pea when you have sufficient sun. Do the same for the other rows. Remember, zombies will approach in the first wave. Plant Split Peas on the fifth row to tackle the zombies. If necessary, plant another row of Split Peas. Damaged Tall-nuts and Imitaters should be replaced.

NOTE: This strategy works 100%. Although there's a risk of losing Lawn Mowers.

Strategy 32[]

Plants

  • Cabbage-pult
  • Sunflower
  • Twin Sunflower
  • Melon-pult
  • Winter Melon
  • Tall-nut
  • Imitater Tall-nut
  • Squash
  • Flower Pot
  • Split Pea

Start planting Sunflowers (two lanes), when the first Pogo Zombie comes, put the tall-nut on the lane it goes in. Use a Squash to kill it.

Put the next Tall-nut, but be fast with the Imitater Tall-nut.

Put Squash ( and Cabbage-pult if possible ) for each. Most likely you will lose Tall-nut health.

Start putting Split Pea on step at the back of Tall-nut. Then put Cabbage-pult. Change a lane of Sunflower to Twin Sunflowers.

Once done, put two Cabbage-pults at the front and leave one Flower Pot blank.

At the end, change Melon-pults to Sunflowers.

And then turn it to Winter Melon, and your done.

Strategy 33[]

This strategy is simple yet effective. It uses only eight seed slots and one upgrade plant, so it's cheap money-wise(though it's best with some side upgrades). The plants you need are:

  • Sunflower
  • Twin Sunflower
  • Flower Pot
  • Tall-nut
  • Kernel-pult
  • Melon-pult
  • Squash
  • Pumpkin (optional, but recommended)

If you need more plants to fill slots, get the Cherry Bomb and Imitater Squash/Tall-nut/Pumpkin. You shouldn't need them if all goes well, but it never hurts to be prepared. It's recommended you have the rake and Wall-nut First Aid.

Start by planting Sunflowers in the very back row. If you have the rake you should be given enough time to make a full row of Sunflowers and, if you're lucky, upgrade one to Twin Sunflower. Once the zombies start appearing and the rake's been used, put a Flower Pot on the 5th row in the lane where the zombie is and put a Tall-nut in it if possible. Once a Tall-nut is in, put a Kernel-pult in the same lane right in front of the Sunflowers as soon as you can.  Here's an example:

KEY:

  • S=Sunflower
  • TN=Tall-nut
  • KP=Kernel-pult
  • FP=Empty Flower Pot
  • e=Empty Slot
  • Z=Zombie
S FP FP e e e
S KP FP e TN Z
S FP FP e e e
S FP FP e e e
S FP FP e e e

Rinse and repeat for each lane. If a zombie's approaching in an unprotected lane and you can't use a Tall-nut or it's Imitater, use a Squash and then ignore that lane, until another zombie enters it. Like so, continuing from the last diagram:

KEY:

  • S=Sunflower
  • TN=Tall-nut
  • KP=Kernel-pult
  • FP=Empty Flower Pot
  • e=Empty Slot
  • Z=Zombie(Z1 appeared before Z2)
  • Sq=Squash
S FP FP e e e e
S KP FP e TN e e
S FP FP Sq Z1 e
S FP FP e TN e Z2
S FP FP e e e e

Using a Tall-nut on Z1 was impossible, so a Squash was used. When Z2 appeared, the Tall-nut was usable.

Once you get a row full of Tall-nuts, start filling the 2nd (if you haven't already) and 4th (so it's less of a loss if you have to dig it up to use a Squash at any point) lanes with Kernel-pults, upgrading the remaining Sunflowers to Twin Sunflowers when possible. When that's done, this is what it should look like:

KEY:

  • TS=Twin Sunflower
  • KP=Kernel-pult
  • FP= Empty Flower Pot
  • TN=Tall-nut
TS KP FP KP TN
TS KP FP KP TN
TS KP FP KP TN
TS KP FP KP TN
TS KP FP KP TN

Once you have two rows of Kernel-pults, fill the remaining 3rd lane with Melon-pults. If you chose Pumpkins during seed selection, it's recommended you reinforce the Tall-nuts with Pumpkins during this time as well. This is what it should look like when it's done.

KEY:

  • TS=Twin Sunflower
  • KP=Kernel-pult
  • MP=Melon-pult
  • TN=Tall-nut
  • P=Pumpkin (only if chosen during seed selection)
TS KP MP KP TN+P
TS KP MP KP TN+P
TS KP MP KP TN+P
TS KP MP KP TN+P
TS KP MP KP

TN+P

If you want, you can start replacing the Kernel-pults with more Melon-pults. Melon-pults do more damage, but Kernel-pults have a chance to stun, buying you more time. It's your call. Otherwise, just keep collecting sun and keeping an eye on your Tall-nuts and Pumpkins. If you have Wall-nut First Aid, then place new Tall-nuts/Pumpkins over old ones when they reach their second damage state(they should start looking really chewed on). If not, just listen for a "gulp" which means a plant has been eaten and replace as needed. This goes double if you opted to forgo the Pumpkin, as you'll need to replace the Tall-nut quick before the Flower Pot gets eaten.

If all goes well, this should be no more difficult than a normal level.

Strategy 34 (Sproing! Sproing! Sproing!)[]

Choose these plants:

Optional plants:

Build SFs A.S.A.P. (As Soon As Possible) in the second and third columns. (Column 1 is closest to the chimney. Row 1 is the topmost row.) If a Pogo Zombie appears, place a SQ or I[SQ] in his row in column 1.

Pogo Zombie = PZ

Zombies appear in numerical order (1, 2, 3, 4...)

Plant MPs in the fourth column A.S.A.P. Continue planting SQs and I[SQ]s to fend off PZs, a MP won't be able to deal with one alone.

As soon as a WM is ready, plant it in the row where a PZ is, it will be able to take care of the PZ.

Remember that MPs do splash damage. In Diagram 3, both MPs are enough to take care of the PZs (which appeared at the same time):

WinterMagnet's Working strategy[]

Plants :

Starfruit

Threepeater (optional)

Sunflower

Torchwood (if you picked Threepeater)

Imitater Sunflower

Flower Pot

Squash

Jalapeno

Keep planting Sunflowers, two columns of them until the first Pogo Zombie appears. When he does, plant a Squash.

Skip to the fourth blocks away from the Sunflowers, plant three columns of Starfruit (keep going to the back while planting). You only need three. Keep a blank for Jalapenos.

If you're placing Threepeaters, put them in front of the Starfruit. Just place three (at second, third, and fourth rows) Torchwoods above and under them, and finally you win.

Strategy 35 (Let's Split Up, Gang!)[]

This method doesn't use lobbed-shot plants. It's recommended you bring at least 9 seed slots.

Plants needed[]

Brining a rake is highly recommended.

The Strategy[]

  1. Plant your usual Sunflowers on columns 1-3 (where all your Flower Pots are at the start). Stall the best you can using your insta-kills, such as Squash, Jalapeno, and Cherry Bombs.
  2. After you have a good enough setup of Sunflowers, start planting Tall-nuts on Column 5, which should be the last column before the roof's slope ends. Afterwards, plant a Split Pea on Column 6, and protect him with a Pumpkin.
  3. In the event of a huge wave, use your insta-kills wisely. Pumpkins should help defend your precious Split Peas.
  4. Once you have all 5 of your Split Peas and Tall-nuts, you can go on to Columns 7-9 (if you'd like) and keep branching out by adding more Split Peas.
  5. Provided you can, you can also use torchwood to add a splash effect to your peas shot via Split Pea, and thusly, make them more powerful.

Strategy 36 (Cleaner than ever)[]

Created by 333-blue.

Note: Roof Cleaners are a must for this strategy. At least 8 seed packets are recommended for the setup.

Plants[]

  • Sunflower
  • Squash
  • Tall-nut
  • Melon-pult
  • Winter Melon
  • Cabbage-pult
  • Flower Pot
  • Imitater (Tall-nut/Squash) and/or Cherry Bomb
  • Twin Sunflower (optional)

Steps[]

First, plant the Sunflowers on the leftmost column, and collect as much Sun as possible (you can use Twin Sunflowers if you want).

Second, don't bother about the Pogo Zombies coming, the Roof Cleaners will do the work.

Third, plant a Tall-nut on the row where the previous Pogo Zombie got killed by the Roof Cleaner. It is advised to plant it on column 5 or 6. Then place a Cabbage-pult on column 2 on that row.

Repeat step 3 while planting Sunflowers on column 4 to gain more Sun.

Start planting Melon-pults and try upgrading them to Winter Melon on column 3.

Enjoy your party, and congrats for beating this level.

Strategy 37 - Defcorn 5[]

Plants required:

  • Sunflower
  • Flower pot
  • Tall nut
  • Imatater (Tall nut)
  • Kernel-Pult
  • Cob Cannon

Fill the rest of your slots with insta-kills just in case

  1. Plant Sunflowers in the first 2 rows, but make sure to leave one empty. once you have 5 sunflowers, make sure you always have enough sun for a tall-nut.
  2. Whenever a Pogo Zombie appears, plant a tall-nut in the third row to block it. remember to replace them later on
  3. When you have 8 sunflowers, plant kernel-pults in the empty row and continue to place tall-nuts
  4. Upgrade the kernel-pults into a cob cannon

From this point on, use the cob cannon to take out the pogos, while replacing the sunflowers with more cob cannons. If done correctly, you can have 4 cob cannons by the time the final lane comes, leave one zombie alive, and plant another to get the defcorn 5 achievement as well.

No Sunflower Strategy[]

Plants needed:

Another strategy without losing any Roof Cleaners[]

Plants needed:

Video for this strategy is here.

Strategy 38: (idk how to make the big text) tall cabbaging gloom. (Be aware i have made no strategies before.)

Plants needed:

•Cabbage-pult

•Tall-nut

•Gloom-shroom

•Coffee Bean

•Fume-shroom

•Pumpkin

•Melon-pult (Optional)

•Imitater Tall-nut/Pumpkin (Optional)

•Twin Sunflower (Optional)

Sadly I don't know how to put a picture on here :(

Start off by planting 5 Sunflowers in column 1.

When a Pogo Zombie appears, plant a Tall-nut in it's row. Once the Pogo Zombie starts eating the Tall-nut, you should have enough sun for a Cabbage-pult. Plant this in column 2. (Note: plant the Tall-nuts in column 3)

Once you have 5 Tall-nuts and 5 Cabbage-pults, start planting the Gloom-shrooms. Start off by placing 2 Gloom-shrooms in row 2 and row 4 of column 4. Once you have a Gloom-shroom in every lane, you can put Pumpkins on them, and then just sometimes replace your Tall-nuts.

Strategy 39 - Six Seed Slots, Three Columns[]

This strategy requires a bit of luck

3 columns pogo party

Strategy

Plants:

  • Sunflower
  • Squash
  • Tall-nut
  • Fume-shroom
  • Gloom-shroom
  • Coffee Bean

Start by placing sunflowers on the first column, then when a Pogo Zombie comes, use a squash, for the next one place a Tall-nut, and wait untill you can place a Gloom-shroom, place Squashes when you cant place Tall-nuts and Tall-nuts when you can place them, the Gloom-shrooms should be enough to take care of every basic Zombie, and two should be able to take care of Pogo Zombies

Strategy 40 - Magno-Cannons[]

This strategy is going to be difficult to execute, 9 seed slots will be required, and you are most likely going to need roof cleaners before you get started

  • Sunflower
  • Flower Pot
  • Kernel-Pult
  • Cob Cannon
  • Squash
  • Imitater Squash
  • Melon-Pult
  • Winter Melon(Optional, if you have 10 seed slots)
  • Coffee Bean
  • Magnet-shroom

Start by planting two rows of sunflowers in the back. You will need them to get a lot of sun for this. Until you have a lot(Around 300-400), fend off the pogo zombies using squash and imitater squash. Once you have a lot of sun, plant some kernel-pults, each lane should have two next each other so you can turn them into cob cannons. While they are recharging though, you will have nothing to defend yourself with, so plant some melon-pults(Upgrade them to winter melons if possible) and plant some magnet-shrooms which will be awaken with coffee beans to slow the pogo zombies down. If needed, replace one of your rows of sunflowers with kernel-pults too.
