It was until a Yeti Zombie consumed the four magic gemstones then did zombies start invading. Later, an unknown plant sealed the empowered Yeti Zombie with a vase and a seal bought from Crazy Dave. Zombies continued to invade the Plantae Kingdom till now.
This background story implies that Crazy Dave is dead.
