Plants vs. Zombies 2: World (植物大战僵尸2世界: zhíwù dàzhàn jiāngshī 2 shìjiè) is a QQ and WeChat mini-program released by Tencent. It is a spin-off game of Plants vs. Zombies 2. In order to play the game, one must have either the Tencent QQ or WeChat mobile application and a registered account for the respective platform depending on the app. It also had a web browser version, which was later discontinued.
This game is in the tower defense genre. The player's objective is to defend their Sunflower at the end of a road from constantly approaching zombies. If zombies reach the sunflower, the player goes back one level. They can place their plants on specific spots on the field, which will shoot zombies down. They can also use power-ups with long recharge times to kill zombies.
The player needs to fuse plants of the same level together to level them up and increase their stats. They can upgrade plants with puzzle pieces they obtain as rewards for defeating bosses, which increases the stats of all plants. Bosses sometimes drop new plants from plant lines.
There are 5 worlds in this game: The first contains levels 1-50, the second has 51-125, the third with 126-225, the fourth with 226-325, and the fifth with 326-425. After beating level 425 game will continue in endless mode, where level numbers keep increasing. It is unknown if this game ever ends.

This game, Plants vs. Zombies 2: Guard and Plants vs. Zombies 3D were the only three Plants vs. Zombies mini-program games to have HTML5 versions and be available on 4399. Web versions are now discontinued.
