Plants vs. Zombies 2: Expedition (植物大战僵尸2远征: zhíwù dàzhàn jiāngshī 2 yuǎnzhēng) is a QQ mini-program released by Tencent. It is a spin-off game of Plants vs. Zombies 2. In order to play the game, one must have the Tencent QQ mobile application and a registered account for the platform. It was also available in WeChat, however, this version was discontinued.
Level layouts of each level are similar, mainly a route for the zombies to move surrounding a central piece of land. If zombies reach the other end of the road, the player loses and the level restarts. At the top of the screen, the player can always has its highest-leveled plant being planted there and attack zombies while having infinite range. By getting new plants from the Supplier, the player can merge the plants to create plants at higher levels which deal higher damage.
A Sunflower at the bottom left corner can produce coins and gems regularly.
