Pumpkin, from the first game, has been found in the code as an upcoming plant for Plants vs. Zombies 2. His abilities remain unchanged from the first game. He is listed as a Season 8 plant.

Pumpkins can be planted on top of other plants to provide a tough additional layer of armor.
Pumpkin may be a hollowed-out shell, but he still has a rich inner life filled with feelings, fantasies and surprisingly disappointing opinions.
