Plants vs. Zombies on Java is an official version of Plants vs. Zombies developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts, released in November 14th 2012.
Differences from the PC Version[]
- The game has many performance issues and tends to lag frequently.
- This version has an overall much easier difficulty.
- Much of the content was removed, likely to make the game size small enough for Java-based phones. Some examples include the removal of Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies, the Zen Garden, Puzzle Mode, Mini-games, and Survival Mode, making Adventure Mode the only game mode.( The Chinese version has six mini games and level6(the Great Wall)๏ผ)
- The audio is a jingle found in this version and which plays throughout the entire game. There are also no sound effects. The audio itself is a direct rip from Bejeweled Twist's J2ME port, specifically the main menu audio loop.
- The help menu provides you with actual tips on playing the game.(The Chinese version has been changed to the content on the note written by zombies,Although only text)
- Suburban Almanac is unlocked earlier in the game.( The Chinese version doesn't seem to be visible)
- Some of the plants and zombies were removed, requiring new strategies to beat the game (for example, Cactus is very important in levels with Balloon Zombies).
- Plants included are Plantern, Blover, Split Pea, Magnet-shroom, Garlic, Pumpkin, Coffee Bean, Umbrella Leaf, Marigold and upgrade plants, the former two and the latter two for obvious reasons.
- Zombies included are Zomboni, Dolphin Rider Zombie, Bungee Zombie, and Yeti Zombie.
- Mini-games which would occur in Level X-5 are replaced by normal levels.( But the Chinese version has some mini games)
- In the Fog levels, the fog is removed.
- Level 4-10 does not include the darkness gimmick.
- In the final battle, Dr. Zomboss has less toughness than normal, taking roughly 6 Jalapenos to defeat him, making the fight much easier.
- At the end of the last level, the whole game is reset without bringing over any of the plants unlocked throughout the game.

- In the Chinese version of the mini games There are two levels that use different scenes(Slot Machine use the Great Wall(That means you need Flowerpot)and Zombie Nimble Zombie Quick use the roof
A user who owns this type of phone provided me with a screenshot of the logo( Believe it or not, it's up to you)
- It seems that the version of Nokia Asha(Built in version) was released by Talkweb
- The Dancer Zombie is from the GOTY version of PvZ but the backup dancers are from the original version.
