Plants (PvZ3)

Plants are living organisms that belong to the Plantae kingdom. They obtain most of their energy from sunlight in a process called photosynthesis. However, not all plants absorb energy via photosynthesis. They are the protagonists of Plants vs. Zombies 3 and the player's main defense against the undead assailants.

There is a total of 41 plants, 39 of which are useable in-game, with the other 2 having an alternate use.

These plants are available from the beginning of the game.

Peashooter	Description: Shoots peas straight down the lane. Straightforward! Unlocked by: Starting the tutorial Plant Food: Rapid Fire: Unleashes an overwhelming barrage of peas. Tacobility: Repeater: Fires extra peas with every shot. Sun Cost: 3
Wall-Nut	Description: Blocks zombies, absorbing lots of attacks with his hard shell. Imperturbable! Unlocked by: Starting the tutorial Plant Food: Shell Shove: Knocks back and stuns all zombies directly in front of him. Tacobility: Juggernut: Gains a tough outer shell of metal armor. Sun Cost: 2
Bonk Choy	Description: Rapidly punches zombies ahead and behind. Pugnacious! Unlocked by: Starting the tutorial Plant Food: Fists of Fury: Punches in all directions, hitting all zombies in a 3x3 area. Tacobility: Flaming Fists: Punches out short-range fireballs that hit multiple zombies. Sun Cost: 6

Devour Tower

These plants are unlocked by clearing floors of the Devour Tower.

Bamboo Shoots	Description: Shoots slowly, dealing heavy damage. Devastating! Unlocked by: Clearing floor 1, then completing your first stage of Zombie Outbreak. Plant Food: Bamboom: Fires a massive missile that explodes in a 3x3 area. Tacobility: Shrapnel: Explodes missiles into fragments that damage nearby zombies. Sun Cost: 7
Cabbage-Pult	Description: Lobs cabbages, hitting flying and non-flying zombies. Crisp! Unlocked by: Clearing floor 2, then losing to a Balloon Zombie on floor 3. Plant Food: Cabbage Patch: Lobs heavy cabbages at random zombies on the lawn. Tacobility: Cold Slaw: Chills zombies, slowing them with a chance to freeze them solid. Sun Cost: 4
Pine Needler	Description: Flings pine needles that pierce through multiple zombies. Pine-scented! Unlocked by: Clearing floor 2, then collecting her seed packet. Plant Food: Needlework: Sprays wide waves of extra-sharp needles. Tacobility: Looking Sharp: Pierces additional zombies and sprays fragments on impact. Sun Cost: 5
Kernel-Pult	Description: Lobs corn kernels, with a chance to lob butter that stuns zombies. Corny! Unlocked by: Clearing floor 3, then collecting his seed packet. Plant Food: Butter Barrage: Instantly lobs butter at many random zombies, damaging and stunning them. Tacobility: Extra Butter: Increases chance of lobbing butter and butter duration. Sun Cost: 5
Snapdragon	Description: Breathes waves of short-range fire, three lanes wide. Jaw-dropping! Unlocked by: Clearing floor 3, then collecting his seed packet. Plant Food: Dragonfire: Spits a short-range fireball that does heavy damage to all zombies in a 3x3 area. Tacobility: Dragonflight: Takes flight, increasing attack range and hitting flying zombies. Sun Cost: 6
Buttercup	Description: Blocks zombies. Butters zombies that attack her, stunning them. Fattening! Unlocked by: Clearing floor 5, then collecting her seed packet. Plant Food: Drizzled Butter: Pours butter down her lane, pushing back nearby zombies and leaving butter puddles. Tacobility: Build Me Up: Gains layers of buttery armor, damaging zombies when she butters them. Sun Cost: 1
Blockbuster	Description: Lashes out with vines. Prioritizes hitting Obstacles, doing extra Shatter damage to them. Cinematic! Unlocked by: Clearing floor 5, then collecting his seed packet. Plant Food: Shatter Storm: Rapidly attacks all Obstacles on the lawn, doing heavy shatter damage. Tacobility: Twin Vines: Attacks with two vines at once, hitting the two closest enemies. Sun Cost: 3
Starfruit	Description: Shoots stars in five directions, including backwards. Star-studded! Unlocked by: Clearing floor 6, then collecting his seed packet. Plant Food: Starburst: Fires a burst of stars in 5 directions. Tacobility: Pointed Stars: Fires more stars, with each star piercing multiple zombies. Sun Cost: 6

Club Plants

These plants are unlocked by purchasing their seed packets with Caps.

Garlic	Description: Pushes zombies attacking Garlic to adjacent lanes. Pungent! Unlocked by: Purchasing his seed packets with ## Caps. Plant Food: Bad Breath: Shuffles zombies in front of Garlic to adjacent lanes, damaging them over time. Tacobility: Garlic Drone: Blocks flying zombies and gains armor. Vimpires that bite Garlic are instantly destroyed. Sun Cost: 1
Fire Peashooter	Description: Fires flaming peas down her lane, which damage other zombies in the same tile as her target. Roasted! Unlocked by: Purchasing her seed packets with 120 Caps. Plant Food: Flamethrower: Spits a stream of fire, damaging all zombies in her lane. Tacobility: Spreading Flames: Fires more peas that do more damage, causing fiery explosions in a 2x3 area. Sun Cost: 5
Hydrangea	Description: Bites zombies at close range. When Hydrangea takes damage, she grows another head, increasing her attack speed. heady! Unlocked by: Purchasing her seed packets with 240 Caps. Plant Food: Feeding Frenzy: Pulls nearby zombies close and unleashes a devastating series of bites. Tacobility: Regeneration: Grows another head and heals herself over time. Sun Cost: 3
