With [ ]
This trick is basically like playing a Wall-Nut, with the additional benefit of gaining a card. Use this trick as you would use Wall-Nut or when you are low on cards. Like a lot of superpowers, it can be a last-ditch effort for survival.
Since this trick makes a Wall-Nut in a selected lane, it can activate Muscle Sprout and Astro-Shroom 's abilities. However, Citron and Wall-Knight do not have access to them, meaning they have to get them from Photosynthesizer , Cornucopia and Lily Pad first.
Another way through Grass Knuckles and Spudow is to get Nut Signal from Bird of Paradise first, which they obtained from Primal Wall-Nut , Seedling , Reincarnation , Petal-Morphosis , Molekale and Transfiguration . This would be easier if you are playing as Green Shadow or Nightcap , since both heroes have access to her as well.
Against [ ]
Since this trick is basically playing a Wall-Nut but with the extra benefit of drawing a card, any strategies that apply against Wall-Nut normally also apply to this.
While you cannot do anything about the extra card, you can play Fraidy Cat , Defensive End or Quickdraw Con Man to discourage or prevent the use of this trick.
