No Smoking is an achievement in Plants vs. Zombies 2. It requires the player to extinguish the torch of an Explorer Zombie or a Porter Gargantuar. It is worth 15 points on the Game Center for iOS devices and 1,500 XP on Google Play Games for Android devices.
Strategies
The plants that can extinguish Explorer Zombie's torch are Iceberg Lettuce, Snow Pea, Winter Melon, Hurrikale, and Cold Snapdragon. An Iceberg Lettuce can easily earn this achievement, as it is aforementioned in the description that it can extinguish flames and it is free. Also, it is obtained the level before the Explorer Zombies appear. However, if any zombie manages to step in front of the Explorer Zombie before it can reach the Iceberg Lettuce, it will freeze the first zombie instead. Try to act fast when the Explorer Zombie appears before any other zombie gets in the way. If there seems like there is no chance to find the Explorer Zombie, you can just use Plant Food on any of the freezing plants. Lost City - Day 12 can also be played to earn this achievement.
Trivia
- The name of this achievement is based on the public rule of "no smoking."
- Strangely, the achievement can be obtained from a Porter Gargantuar, even though its torch is already unlit.
- This may be because, as seen in the trailer for Lost City Part 1, The Gargantuar's torch used to be lit.
