Mystery Sprout in the Zen Garden
Mystery Sprout is a type of sprout that randomly turns into a plant the player may not have. The player can buy them from Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies on the iOS versions of Plants vs. Zombies. In the shop they look like presents, but they have different colors than the regular presents. When the player purchases one, a plant automatically appears in the Zen Garden.

Mystery Sprout[]
It randomly turns into a plant, so the chance of it turning into a plant the player doesn't have yet depends on how many plants are currently in their Zen Garden. It costs $7500 in Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies.
Bronze Mystery Sprout[]
Has a 25% chance of turning into any plant the player doesn't have in their Zen Garden yet. It costs $15,000 in Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies.
Silver Mystery Sprout[]
Has a 50% chance of turning into any plant the player doesn't have in their Zen Garden yet. It costs $30,000 in Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies.
Gold Mystery Sprout[]
Has a 100% chance of turning into any plant the player doesn't have in their Zen Garden yet. It costs $50,000 in Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies. However, you can get a plant that you already have with the Gold Mystery Sprout, by getting the Enlightened achievement. Then, if you attempt to get the Gold Mystery Sprout, you will get a plant you already have since you already have all the Zen Garden plants.

Trivia[]
- If the player has already obtained the Enlightened achievement, even the Gold Mystery Sprout will grow into a plant the player already owns from the course of logic, as there are no plants the player doesn't own.
- It is possible to get Marigold from the Mystery Sprouts, even though Marigold has her own sprout.
