Mummy Memory is a multiplayer mode in Plants vs. Zombies 2: Future, Egypt, and Warfare.

You are matched with a random player and both players are given a board of 24 of Camel Zombies' ceramic signs with either a boot, brain, bucket, cone, crown, gem, heart, key, leaf, sun, or trophy on the back. During the three-second countdown, the backs of the signs are shown, and then are flipped over once the match starts. Players need to flip over correct pairs of signs with matching symbols on the back. When a pair is matched, those two signs will disappear. The two players has 2 minutes to make all 24 of the signs disappear, and the first player to do so wins. The winner is awarded with watering cans, and the loser gets the offer to watch an advertisement for watering cans as a consolation prize.

The mode is mostly the same across the three games, with Egypt and Warfare having different sprites than Future so it can better fit portrait mode.

Trivia[]

  • This is the only mode in the Plants vs. Zombies series to not feature any plants or zombies, as it only features signs from Camel Zombies, not including the zombies themselves.
  • The music that plays is a very low quality and compressed version of Graze The Roof.
  • Unlike the Plants vs. Zombies 2 and Plants vs. Zombies Online versions, it plays much more similarly to a traditional memory-card game.
    • However it is also more based on remembering the backs of the signs shown during the countdown, instead of trial and error.
