Mirror Queen Zombie (魔镜皇后僵尸; pinyin: mójìng huánghòu jiāngshī) is the eighth zombie encountered in the Fairytale Forest of the Secret Realms gamemode of the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. She is similar to the General zombies from the International version of Plants vs. Zombies 2, given that she has three different phases that the player must defeat in order to truly "vanquish" her. She will retreat off the lawn when any of her phase's health is decreased to a certain amount or when enough time has passed. Unlike the International version, however, where a general zombie will appear three times during a stage with a different phase each time, only one phase of the Mirror Queen Zombie will appear in a given stage.

Mirror Queen Zombie can do any of the following:

• Summoning three Cavalry Zombies on the lawn, which all spawn sprinting onto the lawn.
• Throwing poison apples which put any plant they hit to sleep, as well as poisoning them, requiring Coffee Bean to wake them up. For some reason, Aloe does not remove the poison, unlike with the Perfume Zombie.
• Summoning a version of the Magic Mirror which spawns a duplicate of all zombies that walk through it, as opposed to teleporting them closer to the house like the environmental modifier variant.

In English: "Who is the most beautiful zombie in the world?" The queen mastered witchcraft herself, and with the help of the magic mirror, not to mention her beauty, at least her strength was enough. Mirror Queen Zombie can command Cavalry Zombies, throw poison apples at plants, and summon mirrors to mirror zombies.

Strategies

The toughness of this zombies is highly situational because, as mentioned earlier, only one phase of the zombie will appear in a given level. Day 3 (part 2, normal) is a stage where the player can choose their own plants and because her phase 1 self is present here, forcing her to retreat before she can attack much is relatively easy.

On Day 6 (part 2, hard) and Day 7 (part 2, normal), her phase 2 self appears, allowing her to attack much more quickly; however, the main problem lies in the fact that the player cannot choose their plants in either of these stages. Rather, the player must rely on luck with the Magic Cauldrons to get strong plants to defeat both the Mirror Queen Zombie and the two pairs of Cavalry Zombies that she sends.

Day 7 (part 2, hard) is where the Mirror Queen as at her strongest: the player can still not choose their own plants and the queen appears as her phase 3 self. To make matters worse, blue magic fog appears in this stage to make her and her cavalry even stronger. That said, the player must yet again rely on luck, high plant levels with the plants they are given, and use Artifacts to win.

Note that she will not reactivate her Magic Mirror creation ability if forced to retreat early.

Trivia

• Mirror Queen Zombie is designed after the main antagonist of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Queen Grimhilde.
• She does not have butter stun sprites.
• For some reason, she summons Dark Ages' Cavalry Zombies instead of Fairytale Forest's Guard Cavalry Zombies. According to the developers, that is because Mirror Queen Zombie belongs to a different camp with Red Queen Imp.
• Another oddity is that her Almanac location depicts her in Penny's Pursuit, not the Fairytale Forest, even though she doesn't appear in Penny's Pursuit.
  • It was change to the Fairytale Forest in 2.9.6 update.
