Mino Zombie (蓑衣僵尸; pinyin: Suōyī jiāngshī) is the third unique zombie encountered in Heian Age in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. He steals Plant Food that the player has not picked up yet, and stores them in his fish basket, in a similar manner to Ra Zombie, Turquoise Skull Zombie, and Solar Car Zombie, all three of which steal sun.
Mino Zombie, according to his appearance, is based on most farmers in East and Southeast Asia (ex. Japan, Indonesia, Korea, etc). His namesake is from mino (蓑), which is a straw cape worn by Japanese rice farmers to protect themselves from the rain.
Mino Zombie wears a conical straw hat with a white hood under it. He also wears a mino, a cape made out of rice straw, blue robe with white strips, gray shorts, and brown sandals. If you look closely on his shorts, you can see a brown patch stick onto it, suggests that his shorts is ripped a little bit, a similar case happen to Bikini Zombie's underwear.
He mainly holds a straw jar to steal a Plant Food and he walks similar to Ra Zombie (but his pose resembles Turquoise Skull Zombie and Boombox Zombie instead). When he attempts to steal a Plant Food, Mino Zombie's straw jar will open and closes after collecting a Plant Food.
蓑衣僵尸 (Mino Zombie)
There's actually a fish in Mino Zombie's fish basket, and the fish likes the taste of Plant Food.
Special: Absorbs Plant Food by lifting his fish basket!
This zombie is not that threatening in any way. Try to use other than lobbed-shot plants on him was a perfect way to defeat him. Also, when he tries to catch a Plant Food, try to collect it as fast as you can.
- For some reason, Mino Zombie has Turquoise Skull Zombie's poison mask, despite Mino Zombie not wearing glasses nor having a mustache.
