Medals are a currency exclusive to the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time. They can be obtained via completing levels in the Endless Zone events, and at times dropped by zombies. As the player progresses through the levels, their rewards of this currency increase. Medals are used to unlock plants in which the player has at least one Puzzle Piece of that type collected. Medals can also be used to purchase Puzzle Pieces themselves. As of April 3rd, 2015, Medals can no longer be obtained, as their supporting event is no longer available.

This is the second currency in the game to allow the purchase of Puzzle Pieces.
The glitch/cheat that works to obtain multiple Puzzle Pieces in Yeti, Zomboss, and Gargantuar events does not work to obtain Medals.
