On Again, Off Again
This game mode is not always available to be played in-game. It is only available sometimes. It is currently not available.

Lunchtime at the Lab is a Super Mix Mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 and a Weekly Event game mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. It is a variant of Team Vanquish where players can only play as Chomper (and his variants, in Garden Warfare 2) on the plants team or Scientist (and his variants, in Garden Warfare 2) on the zombies team.

Mechanics

This game mode functions identically to Team Vanquish, except that a limited number of classes are available. You can only play as Chomper or Scientist.

Description

Garden Warfare 2

Forks up! It's lunchtime in the lab with Chomper vs Scientist in this week's Super Mix Event. Snack on Scientist to chomp your way to victory. Or deal it and heal it as Scientist to save your allies from the Chompocalypse.

Battle for Neighborville

Scientists are about to map the Chomper's digestive tract in Lunchtime at the Lab! Who'll triumph? Lack-of-brainz or burrowing brawn?

Weekly challenges (Battle for Neighborville)

The weekly challenges for this event are as follows:

  1. Win a match (1x)
  2. Get vanquishes (30x)
  3. TBA

Strategies

The only available classes are Chomper and Scientist, close-ranged specialists. So, getting up close is key, as minimal damage can be dealt at a range. With this in mind, it's very easy to retreat from a bad situation, using either Burrow or Warp, and hide far away while regenerating your health.
