Hocus Crocus is a plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 8.6.1 update. Hocus Crocus is able to teleport leftmost zombies back to the beginning of the lawn in a similar manner to Thyme Warp, with each teleportation also dealing damage to zombies.
Origins

Hocus Crocus is based on the Crocus genus of Iris flowers cultivated for their stamens, from which the spice saffron originates.
Her name is a portmanteau on the phrase "Hocus Pocus," a phrase typically associated with stage magicians, and Crocus, the plant Hocus Crocus is based on.

"Observe," says Hocus Crocus. "Have I got anything up my sleeve? Do I even have sleeves? No? Prepare, then, to have your quaint and old-fashioned notions of spatial location SHATTERED FOREVER!!!"

Strategies
The ability to teleport zombies to the rightmost column makes Hocus Crocus a decent staller, as she is not only effective in bringing a dangerous zombie to the back (for example, a Glitter Zombie during the pop jam, a Gargantuar, a Relic Hunter Zombie that has swung right into your defenses, or any zombie that is about to trigger a lawn mower), but she can also deal damage to it, meaning that a single zombie will be teleported over and over again, until death. However, a single Hocus Crocus is helpless against hordes of zombies, so it is advisable to plant multiple of them and support them with plants that can deal with groups such as Laser Bean and Fume-shroom.
In Pirate Seas, Hocus Crocus is a powerful choice against Swashbuckler Zombies when they appear on lanes without planks as when they are teleported to the right, they will be instantly killed by the water. In addition, she can easily deal with Imp Pirate Zombies fired from Imp Cannons as they will fall into the river after they have been teleported to the right, making it easier for other plants such as Melon-pult to deal with the Imp Cannon itself. Pairing her with Sweet Potato is a good idea. If you plant Sweet Potato in lanes without planks, most zombies will move to that lane once they get close, allowing Hocus Crocus to instantly kill them by teleporting them and making them fall into the water.
Timing is important when using Hocus Crocus, for instance, she can stop Octo Zombie's octopi-throwing animation immediately, she can prevent Boombox Zombie from playing ballad jam, but she can make a Citron or a Coconut Cannon misfire, or a turkey from Turkey-pult run off the lawn. Moreover, she can
Like Witch Hazel, this plant only targets a single zombie and has a cooldown between each teleportation, so other plants are needed to support Hocus Crocus. And similar to Thyme Warp, some strategies applied to that plant can also be applied to Hocus Crocus. However, she won't remove the negative effects of zombies, unlike Thyme Warp.
Do not plant more than two Hocus Crocus in Last Stand setups, as they will all end up targeting one same Zombie at a time.
