Herbal Assault is a game mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. It is essentially the reverse of Gardens & Graveyards, with plants attacking and zombies defending. The two factions can have up to 12 players each, creating a total of 24 players possible in one game of Herbal Assault. Like the mode's counterpart, the plants must invade and turn the zombie's graveyards into gardens, while the zombies try to defend the graveyards.

Just like the Engineer from Gardens & Graveyards, the Rose is now in charge of setting up the teleporter and is also capable of summoning Crystal Guardians to defend it.

Its name is a pun on the phrase "Feral Assault." It could also be a pun on the phrase "Verbal Assault."

Moon Base Z

Dr. Zomboss' latest plan involves changing the Earth's orbit so that it stays within a constant solar eclipse, thus robbing the Plants from their much-needed photosynthesis. The Plants must stop him!

The plants must invade the zombie's base on the moon, and must try to stop a giant magnet from changing the Earth's orbit, or the Earth will be shaded in eternal darkness.
Areas include: Spaceport, Lunar Motel, Miner Diner, Crystal Mine, Processing Facility, and Space Thingy.

It's that time of year again. The next batch of fresh Zombie recruits are about to graduate, but the Plants have other plans for them... Hint: It involves toilet paper!

The plants must invade their old home, which has been taken over by the zombies, and must ruin a graduation party at Z Academy to dominate.
Areas include: Scientist's House, All-Star Mansion, Zombie Park, Stage, Academy, and Graduation Party.

There's big trouble in not so little Zombopolis. The Plants must stop the Zombies from launching Zombot into battle before it's too late!

A new map that was released in the Trouble in Zombopolis: Part One DLC. The Plants must invade Zombopolis, the capital city for the Zombies, and the biggest map in this game and its prequel. The Plants must try to destroy the Mega Zombot 6000 before it launches and puts the fate of Plant-kind in grave danger.
Areas include: Park, Town Square, Disco Diner, Drone Factory, Trainyard, and Mega Zombot Arena.
