Healing Hose is an ability for the Scientist in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. When activated, Scientist activates a healing spray that heals nearby zombies. Like its counterparts, the Heal Beam and Heal Beam of Science from Garden Warfare 2, it has no cooldown penalty when used. If the player fires their primay weapon whilst using Healing Hose, it will automatically deactivate the ability.
Spray allies to heal and extend their max health.
Increased effect of Healing Hose if target ally is at low health
Increases Healing Hose's heal rate to 1.5625 for allies with low health.
Gain health from healing other zombies.
Healing allies allows yourself to be healed at a rate of 2.5 HP per 0.25 seconds.
Can be used to heal lots of Zombies at once, but not as quickly as the Heal Beam. Can also be used to give Zombies Overhealth if they are already at max. Stand behind Zombies that are fighting and use this to keep their health constantly topped up, so they can continue to deliver damage. Best used with Super Brainz, who has high health and does high damage at close range, or All-Star, who has a high rate of fire and can use Dummy Shield to protect the scientist.
If you see a Scientist using the Healing Hose, try to destroy it as quickly as possible. They will be vulnerable for a second or two as they most likely won't realize you're coming and won't have their main weapon ready. Make sure to deal with the Scientist first and the Zombie(s) he's healing later, as doing damage to the other Zombies will be worthless as the Scientist will top them up with health.
- If one were to taunt whilst having Healing Hose activiated, the ability will still be active, with the particles of the hose going where the Scientist points it.
- Surprisingly, the player could still heal other player depending on where the camera is facing while the taunt is being played.
- It is also possible to reload whilst using Healing Hose.
