A grave

In Plants vs. Zombies Adventures, all zombies spawned from graves. They could be found while reclaiming lots, receiving a Zombie Sneak Attack, or in levels on the Road Trip. Due to how friend-caused Zombie Sneak Attacks and Brainball zombie attacks worked, it was possible for graves to rise in the middle of the path.

- Sometimes, graves could be degraded automatically without any zombie coming out.
- This was because, technically, graves degrade with the progress of the wave, although some Zombie Sneak Attacks did not spawn the zombies until the wave progress meter had advanced somewhat.
