Galactic Gardens

Galactic Gardens is the first set of cards released by an update in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. The update introduces 100 new cards, along with new traits and types of cards, and the 2 new heroes Beta-Carrotina and Huge-Gigantacus. It was released on June 8, 2017 for Android and on June 9 for iOS.

New traits and effects[]

Conjure - This effect gives the Plant/Zombie Hero a random card from a chosen card type. An example of this previously used would be Eureka, which now has the Conjure effect.
Double Strike - Exclusive to Plants. Any Plant with this trait does a Bonus Attack after combat, but only if it survives the fight phase. An example of this previously used would be a Repeater or Bananasaurus Rex. Both now have the Double Strike trait.
Hunt - Any fighter with this trait moves to the lane where an enemy fighter is played, unless that lane is occupied. An example of this previously used would be the Dog Walker, which now has the Hunt trait.
Overshoot - Exclusive to Zombies. Any Zombie with this trait does damage to the Plant Hero before combat equal to their Overshoot value.

Starch-Lord	Root Plant	When you play a Root, that Root gets +1/+1. Start of turn: Conjure a Root.	4	2	4	His destiny is written in the starch.

Galacta-Cactus	Cactus Flower Plant	Bullseye When destroyed: Do 1 damage to everything.	1	2	2	"I take pity on no one. For I am Galacta-Cactus!"
Force Field	Environment	Plants here can't be hurt.	4	-	-	It's a force of nature.
Gravitree	Fruit Tree Plant	Armored 1 When a zombie is played, move it here.	6	7	7	The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Neither does anything else.

Body-Gourd	Squash Plant	Amphibious, Team-Up When played: Fill your Super-Block Meter to full.	5	3	6	He moonlights as a decorative center piece during the fall.
Pecanolith	Nut Plant	All Plants and Zombies attack using their instead of their .	5	0	7	No one knows where he came from. He just appeared one day. But everyone who comes in contact with him feels... changed somehow.

Banana Bomb	Banana Trick	Do 2 damage to a Zombie.	1	-	-	Beware fruity vengeance from above.
Mushroom Grotto	Mushroom Environment	When you play a plant here, make a with Team-Up in another random lane.	3	-	-	Sometimes beautiful things grow out of the darkest places. Ponder that for a few moments.
Invasive Species	Leafy Flower Plant	While in an Environment: This gets +3	3	2	4	"Call me a 'weed'. Go on. I consider it a compliment."

Cosmic Mushroom	Mushroom Plant	When played: Conjure a Mushroom, and it gets +2.	3	2	2	He's far out all right. Like, waaaay far out.
Lava Guava	Fruit Trick	Do 2 damage to each Zombie here and next door. If played on the Ground, make Hot Lava here.	5	-	-	"I try to stay cool, I really do. But Zombies! Man, they make me blow my top!"

Astro-Shroom	Mushroom Plant	Bullseye When you play a Plant, do 1 damage to the Zombie Hero.	1	1	1	He's had good meetings with a lot of smaller asteroids. They really made an impression.
Banana Launcher	Banana Plant	Start of turn: gain a .	2	0	3	He only knows one word. But it's a good one.
Pair Pearadise	Fruit Environment	When you play a Plant here, make a copy of that Plant with Team-Up here.	4	-	-	Peter Piper's Planet precociously picked a pair of pickled peppered pairs.
Galactic - Legendary
Reincarnation	Flower Plant	While in your hand: At end of turn, this transforms into a random plant with +1/+1. It keeps this ability.	1	2	2	"You never know what the next life has in store for you," she says. "So get the most out of this one while you can."
Molekale	Leafy Plant	When played: Each other Plant transforms into a random Plant that costs 1 more.	4	3	2	"And you thought spinach made you strong. Please. I am spinach times infinity."

Coffee Grounds	Bean Environment	Plants here get Double Strike.	2	-	-	Nothing wakes eyou up in the morning like extra attacks on zombies. Well OK, coffee does.
Sweet Pea	Pea Plant	When played: Move a Zombie to this lane.	2	2	3	Zombies my only have four teeth left, but one of them's a sweet tooth.
Vegetation Mutation	Trick	All Plants on Heights and Environments get +2/+2.	2	-	-	Environmentalism at its finest.

Banana Peel	Banana Trick	Move a Zombie. Conjure a Banana.	1	-	-	A slapstick comedy staple that somehow, the Zombies never see coming.
Cosmic Pea	Pea Plant	Double Strike When played: Conjure a Pea, and it gets Double Strike.	3	1	1	"The cosmos is so big and a pea is so small. The juxtaposition just really makes me think, you know?"
Galactic - Super-Rare
Moonbean	Bean Plant	When this does damage, shuffle two into your deck.	3	2	5	She and Sunflower are besties. It's just too bad their schedules make it hard for them to get together.
Pod Fighter	Pea Plant	This does a Bonus Attack when you play a Plant here or next door.	5	3	4	They're just trying to create peas in our time.
The Red Plant-It	Root Environment	Plants here get +5/+5.	5	-	-	It may seem like an inhospitable place for Plants, but with a little TLC and some patience, it'll grow more than just potatoes. Much more.
Galactic - Legendary
Captain Cucumber	Fruit Plant	Cards you Conjure cost 1 less. When this does damage, Conjure a Legendary card.	3	1	4	He's steered his crew through many a pickle.
Onion Rings	Root Plant	When played: Each plant in your hands becomes 4/4.	5	4	4	So powerful it makes you cry.

Mars Flytrap	Flytrap Plant	When this hurts the Zombie Hero, steal a section from their Super-Block meter.	1	2	2	He loves Venus Flytrap, but sometimes they see things SO differently!
Planet of the Grapes	Berry Environment	When a Plant here hurts the Zombie Hero, draw a card.	2	-	-	How this planet came to be? It's another of life's grape mysteries.
Leaf Blower	Leafy Plant	Amphibious When played in an Environment: Bounce a Zombie.

Cosmic Bean	Bean Plant	Team-Up When played: Conjure a Bean, and it gets Team-Up.	2	1	1	It IS a magical fruit!
Melon-Pult	Fruit Plant	Splash Damage 3	5	3	4	People who live in grass houses shouldn't throw stones. But melons, why not?
Galactic - Super-Rare
Laser Cattail	Animal Plant	Amphibious, Team-Up This gets +1/+1 when you play a Plant here.	2	2	1	He's really good at entertaining himself.
Bog of Enlightenment	Environment	Plants here that are Amphibious get +2 Zombies here that aren't Amphibious get -2.	2	-	-	Good for Plants, it is. Good for Zombies, it is not!
Cool Bean	Bean Plant	When played: Freeze all Gravestones.	3	3	3	"Chance of meeting Gravestones? Never tell me the odds!"

Shooting Starfruit	Fruit Plant	This attacks in all five lanes.	5	2	2	When you see a Shooting Starfruit, make a wish, any wish! Any wish that involves takin' down Zombies, that is.
Dark Matter Dragonfruit	Dragon Fruit Plant	Amphibious, Splash Damage 6 Zombie Tricks cost 6 more.	8	6	6	Their ancestors were hunted to the depths of space. Now their descendants are back for cold, fruity vengeance.

Cosmoss	Moss Plant	When an Environment is played, this gets +1/+1.	1	2	2	He's Peel deGrass Lichen's biggest fan.
Apple-Saucer	Fruit Plant	When played: If you made at least 6 this turn, this gets Strikethrough.	2	3	2	Watchful Quasar Wizards sometimes spot an Unidentified Fruiting Object.
Venus Flytraplanet	Flytrap Environment	When a Plant here does damage and survives, heal your Hero for that much.	4	-	-	Not far from Mercury Flytraplanet.

Cosmic Flower	Flower Plant	Strikethrough When played: Conjure a Flower, and it gets Strikethrough.	3	2	1	She enjoys the simple things in life - hanging out with friends, fighting Zombies, and basking in cosmic rays.
Heartichoke	Leafy Flower Plant	When a Plant or your Hero is healed, do that much damage to the Zombie Hero.	4	3	4 She's a sweetheart, she really is. But fighting Zombies... it's made her hard.

Solar Winds	Environment	End of Turn: If there are no Zombies here, make a Sunflower here.	3	-	-	There's something in the wind. Sunflower seeds, in fact.
Wing-Nut	Pea Nut Plant	Zombies can't do Bonus Attacks.	4	3	7	Firmly believes that Elvis is alive, Zombies never walked on the Moon, and that Dr. Zomboss is secretly studying aliens at Area 22. Crazy!
Tactical Cuke	Fruit Trick	Destroy all Plants and Zombies on the Ground.	6	-	-	He comes from a long line of very precise cucumbers.

Astrocado	Fruit Plant	Strikethrough When destroyed: Gain an .	5	5	3	"Holy guacamole!"
Astro Vera	Cactus Plant	When played: Increase your Hero's maximum by 10. Heal your hero for 10.	8	5	5	Your Hero will feel out of this world. And so will your skin.

Biodome Botanist	Mustache Science Zombie	When played: Make a 1/1 Plant with no abilities.	2	2	3	Growing Plants in Space? Some of his fellow Zombies think he's crazy, but others appreciate the effort.
Cosmic Yeti	Pet Monster Zombie	When played: Conjure a Pet and it gets +1/+1 End of turn: Bounce this Yeti.	4	3	3	He's hoping they name a constellation after him. "The Big Yeti" does have a ring to it.

Cheese Cutter	Gourmet Mustache Zombie	When this hurts the Plant Hero: Conjure a Gourmet card, and it costs 1 less.	1	2	2	Is that the exquisite scent of an aged Camembert, or just rotting flesh?
Cyborg Zombie	Science Zombie	Hunt When destroyed: Gain a .	2	3	2	He'll be back.
Area 22	Science Environment	Zombies here get +2/+2 and Frenzy.	3	-	-	"Zombies from outer space? What an absurd conspiracy theory! Now move along. Nothing to see here." - Dr. Zomboss

Interstellar Bounty Hunter	Science Pirate Zombie	Hunt, Frenzy When this destroys a Plant, draw a card.	4	4	4	If you have a bounty on your head, she won't stop until she eats your brains. It's not personal. It's just business.
Supernova Gargantuar	Science Gargantuar Zombie	Frenzy When a Gargantuar destroys a Plant, destroy all copies of that Plant.	5	5	7	This one's got a real temper on him. When he decides to take out a Plant...it's brutal. Just brutal.

Cryo-Brain	Gourmet Science Trick	You get +1 for the rest of the game.	2	-	-	Putting brains on ice is the best way to keep them fresh. Ask any Zombie.
Medulla Nebula	Gourmet Environment	When you play a Zombie here, you get +2 this turn.	3	-	-	Zombies often find brains in space. It's usually the space between your ears.
Moonwalker	Dancing Science Zombie	When played on Heights or an Environment: This gets +2/+2.	3	2	2	That's one small nibble for Zombies, one giant bite for Zombiekind.

Cosmic Scientist	Science Zombie	Bullseye When played: Conjure a Science card, and it gets Bullseye.	2	1	2	He has no idea what's in the beakers. He just likes to mix them together until they go BOOM!
Triplication	Imp Gargantuar Trick	Conjure an Imp, a Zombie and a Gargantuar.	4	-	-	An Imp, a Zombie, and Gargantuar walk into a bar...

Neutron Imp	Science Imp Zombie	When an Environment is played, this does a Bonus Attack.	2	2	3	He's not small, he's just very compact.
Transformation Station	Science Environment	Start of turn: Transform the Zombie here into a random Zombie that costs 1 more.	2	-	-	According to the Transformation Station brochure, every Zombie who visits is guaranteed to shuffle away feeling like a brand new Zombie.
Wormhole Gatekeeper	History Science Zombie	Bullseye Each player draws an extra card each turn.	3	2	5	"Stand here and guard this gate with your unlife," she was told. And that's why she's been doing ever since.

Interdimensional Zombie	Science Zombie	When you play a Science card, this transforms into a Zombie that costs 3.	1	1	3	In a parallel dimension, this zombie is a Space Pirate. In another he's a Trash Can Zombie. Turns out, little choices in life can make a big difference.
Teleportation Zombie	Science Zombie	Gravestone, Bullseye You can play Zombies when it's time for Tricks.	2	1	5	The phone cord stretches to another dimension.

Loose Cannon	Barrel Imp Zombie	Overshoot 2	1	1	1	His friends keep telling him it's too dangerous, but he never listens. He's having a blast.
Meteor Z	Environment	Zombies here get +2.	2	-	-	Huge-Gigantacus drove Meteor Z deep into the Earth, creating a tunnel to a hidden world of strange creatures...but what's down there???
Space Ninja	Professional Zombie	While in an Environment: The first time each turn this does damage, do 1 damage to each plant.	2	3	2	You will never hear him coming in the vacuum of space.

Final Mission	Science Trick	Destroy a Zombie. Then do 4 damage.	2	-	-	The round-trip ticket is the same price as the one-way.
Cosmic Dancer	Dancing Zombie	Overshoot 2 When played: Conjure a Dancing carrd, and it gets Overshoot 2	4	2	3	Across the cosmos, the passion for dance is the only universal language.

Binary Stars	Dancing Zombie	Gravestone All your cards do double damage.	5	3	3	He's a Gemini and so is she. Which explains so much, right?

Cone Zone	Environment	Zombies here get +3	2	-	-	You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound, but of cones.
Celestial Custodian	Professional Mustache Zombie	When played in an Environment: Destroy a Plant with 2 or less.	3	3	2	Don't call him a "Space Janitor". He's a "Celestial Custodian" and darn proud of it.
Screen Door Zombie	Professional Zombie	When revealed: This can't be hurt this turn.	5	4	4	Little known fact: He carries a door to protect himself from solar radiation.

Escape through Time	History Science Trick	A Zombie can't be hurt this turn. Conjure a History card.	2	-	-	Possible side effects include: the creation of a temporal paradox, the unraveling of the fabric of reality, erasing your entire existence, a mild foot rash.
Cosmic Sports Star	Sports Zombie	When played: Conjure a Sports card, and it costs 2 less.	3	2	2	He's been named Most Valuable Zombie of the Galaxy two years in a row!

Black Hole	Environment	Plants here get -1. When a Plant is played, move it here.	1	-	-	Plants usually like being planted in holes. Black holes? Not so much.
Genetic Experiment	Science Barrel Zombie	Start of Tricks: This gets +1/+1 if there's a Zombie next door.	1	2	1	Pickled Zombie is the best kind of Zombie.
Planetary Gladiator	Sports Professional Zombie	Armored 1 If your Hero would get hurt, this gets hurt instead.	1	1	3	He's still not sure if he should defend Pluto or not.
Galactic - Legendary
Intergalactic Warlord	Mustache Pirate Zombie	When played: For the rest of the game, all Zombies get +1/+1.	5	2	2	In space Zombie circles, he's a very powerful figure. Just don't talk about him in front of Huge-Gigantacus. There's some jealousy there.
Zombot Battlecruiser 5000	Science Barrel Zombie	Gravestone When revealed: Zombies can't be hurt this turn.	6	6	5	Not space legal in 35 different galaxies.

Graveyard	Environment	Zombies played here are Gravestones. When a Zombie is revealed from a Gravestone here, it gets +1.	1	-	-	Super Brainz always wanted a house with a nice yard.
Ice Pirate	Pirate Zombie	Gravestone When revealed in an Environment: Freeze a Plant.	2	3	1	You wouldn't believe how many brains a chunk of space ice goes for on a black market. Let's just say, she's rolling in gray matter.
Frosty Mustache	Mustache Trick	Freeze a Plant. Conjure a Mustache.	2	-	-	So stylish! So cool!
Galactic - Rare
Cosmic Imp	Imp Zombie	Deadly When played: Conjure an Imp, and it gets Deadly.	3	1	1	When he gazes out at the stars, he feels small. Because he's an Imp.
Space Pirate	Pet Pirate Zombie	Anti-Hero 2 This moves to a random lane when a Plant is played here.	3	3	2	At first he just dabbled in space piracy, but then he got hooked.
Galactic - Super-Rare
Ducky Tube Zombie	Party Pet Zombie	Amphibious This gets +1/+1 when this hurts the Plant Hero.	1	1	1	Zombie Ducky, joy of joys. When it squeezes, you make noise!
Dr. Spacetime	Science History Zombie	Cards you Conjure cost 1 less. When this hurts the Plant hero, Conjure a Galactic Gardens card.	2	1	5	He insists it's more than a screwdriver. Much more.
Laser Base Alpha	Science Environment	Zombies here get Deadly and Strikethrough.	3	-	-	Zombies with LASERS. What could possibly go wrong?

Space Cowboy	Imp Pet Zombie	Amphibious, Strikethrough. This Zombie moves to the right when it hurts the Plant Hero.	4	3	5	Only in the big wide sky will he find Serenity.
Cryo-Yeti	Pet Monster Zombie	This gets +2/+2 when a Plant or Zombie is frozen. When played: Freeze a Plant.	5	3	4	Freezing Plants in the far reaches of Space is not what he'd imagined he'd spend his life doing. But as the old Yeti saying goes, "When life hands you snow, you make snow cones."
