Pirate Seas - Day 14 is the 14th level of Pirate Seas in Plants vs. Zombies 2. It is a Last Stand level. To complete this level, the player has 3000 sun to spend on a strategy to defeat the zombies. When this level is finished for the first time, the player unlocks Threepeater.

Difficulty[]

With only 3000 sun to spend, the player doesn't have many options. Many Seagull Zombies appear, as well as some Barrel Roller Zombies. This makes the player choose different types of offensive plants, which could take a big toll on their remaining sun cost they can use. There are also Pirate Captain Zombies, who send out their parrots to steal valuable plants. The biggest threat are the Swashbuckler Zombies, which act like shields for the tougher zombies. Kernel-pult is highly suggested, as it can stun all zombies with its Plant Food and easily deal with the Seagull Zombies.

Waves[]

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost one.

Strategies[]

Strategy 1[]

Created by RaidingParty

This simple strategy can beat the level without Plant Food, premium content or losing any mowers. It does not require any plants that needs the player to progress past Pirate Seas - Day 14.

The rest are not needed.

Plant three Bloomerangs in the middle lanes of the first column. Plant five Snapdragons in the second column. Plant three Snapdragons in the middle lanes of the third column. Protect the Snapdragons that do not have Bloomerangs behind them with a Wall-nut. Leave the rest unguarded and reserve the extra sun.

This strategy shows off the raw power of Snapdragons. They will kill most everything themselves, with the center group not even needing any Wall-nuts. This includes the Zombie Parrots, which will almost always try to take them and be burned down quickly. It is possible for them get lucky and steal a Wall-nut while the Snapdragons are in between attack and idle modes, but those can easily be replaced with the leftover sun. Seagull Zombies and stray Imp Pirate Zombies may get a few bites on the Wall-nuts, but not nearly enough and your original Wall-nuts, if they are not stolen, will end the battle barely degraded. The Bloomerangs will damage the Barrel Roller Zombies enough for the Snapdragons to kill them before they can roll barrels into them and the Snapdragons will kill the center lane Imp Pirate Zombies almost always before they can do any damage at all. If you use the Plant Food on the Snapdragons, the zombie force will have zero chance of survival.

Strategy 2[]

Strategy 2 Version 1[]

Created by Saltpetal.

This strategy puts zombies to shame without having to use anything special. No Power-Ups, Gemium plants, lawn mowers, or Plant Food required.

No other plants are required.

Plant five Winter-Melons in the first row and five Endurians in front of them in the second row. You will start with 3 Plant Food which can be used whenever things begin to get sticky, but they shouldn't as Winter-Melons slow zombies. Winter-Melons will slowly kill all the zombies and Pirate Captain Zombie's parrot will get demolished by the Endurians, as will any other zombies that get that far. When the huge wave comes, Plant Food any Winter-Melons you can and watch all the zombies get crushed by the icy-cold fruity power of the Winter-Melon.

Strategy 2 Version 2[]

Now maybe you are doing the level for the first time and don't have the plants listed above. Not to worry, I (Saltpetal) made another one for you! This strategy only has plants from before this level and doesn't need Plant Food, Gemium plants, Power-Ups, or lawn mowers.

The rest are not needed.

Place 18 peashooters as follows: Plant 5 in the first row, 5 in the second row, 5 in the third row, and 3 on the three middle tiles in the fourth lane. Then plant 5 Wall-nuts in front of the Peashooters, then place 5 Spikeweeds in front of the Wall-nuts. (If you chose not to use the Spikeweeds, use anything else you want.) You should now have 350 Sun remaining. Use this however you want, though I recommend planting another 3 Spikeweeds and another Wall-nut somewhere useful. This strategy is very good as the Peashooters will slowly mow down every zombie that comes at them while any zombies that get close enough will just start chewing through the Wall-nuts while being lacerated by the Spikeweeds. Since you start with 3 Plant Food, you can use them for even more firepower. Hopefully this will get you to Pirate Seas - Day 15 and get you the Threepeater quickly and easily

Trivia[]

  • Before the 10.2.1 update, the player was given 2000 sun as opposed to the current 3000 sun
  • During 2023, a stream showcased a glitch where the player had no seed slots and no available plants, and renting a plant would crash the game. This made the attempt impossible. (I bet the moderators are just gonna moderate this edit for unnecessary editing, which they might as well do)
