The Funderdome is a map in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. It is where Battle Arena is held. It also the location of the boss fight against Olds Cool in Town Center, when playing as a plant.
Origins[]
Its name is a portmanteau of "fun" and "Thunderdome," a gladiatorial arena in Mad Max films.
Battle Arena[]
The Funderdome is the only map in Battle Arena, and it has 2 variations. The first one is smaller, and the second one is bigger. The second one has variations of it's own, either having water, hot cheese (like the cheese in Mount Steep and Gulpy Gully), or ooze (like the ooze in Z-Tech Oozevoir) as obstacles. They can both be played in Private Play, though you can't choose which variation of the second map to play.
In Town Center[]
The Funderdome when a player fights Olds Cool as the last plant mission of Town Center is much different from the one in Battle Arena. The player starts in a small area with breakable tiles similar to the ones in the boss fight. You then proceed onto an elevator which brings you to a large circular area, where the actual fight begins. Throughout the fight, square structures pop up from the floor, which could protect you from Olds Cool's projectiles, but stop you from shooting him.
