Ents (树灵护卫; pinyin: shù líng hù​wèi) is a plant added in the April update as an unlockable plant for the new Fairytale Forest world.

Ents is a defensive plant that summons damaging spikes from underneath the two tiles ahead of it and some how hurt Zombies that eat it from behind. These spikes are able to destroy multiple rolling items but doesn't instantly destroy Pianist Zombie in a similar manner to Spikeweed, but are able to still be summoned afterwards. Ents is also able to restore health it sustains from blocking off zombies.

When Ents is placed directly in front of a Hat Mushroom, Ents will begin to restore 20% of its health every time it attacks and can even survive a shot from turquoise skull zombie.

Origins

Ents is named after the Ent, a fictional species of giants who grow to resemble trees as they age, that appear in author J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings series.

When fed plant food, Ents will attack all zombies in front of it in an 3x3 area, bouncing zombies in the air at the end, stunning them, and also break the Magic Shields.

	Centennial Treant 百年树人	Restores 1500 health per second if there are 2 or more targets. Each gargantuar smash instead removes some of its leaves, destroying it only after all are lost. 与大自然的共鸣强化了树灵守卫的恢复能力，当面对的僵尸超过2个时，每秒恢复1500点生命值，可以抵挡巨人僵尸的攻击，每次受到巨人僵尸攻击后会掉落树叶，树叶全部掉落后再受到巨人僵尸的攻击会直接死亡。

Strategies

This plant is an extremely powerful wall and staller, due to its own ability to heal at a rapid rate when damaged means that at level 1 it takes 7 zombies of equal level eating it at the same time to die, effectively stalling out the hoard. On top of it's own attacks that can deal with basic zombies, increasing it's stalling capabilities even more.

Ents can be used in any world to great effect. It can be used to stall hoards of tough zombies like Bucketheads while your offensive plants pick them off one by one, or be used to stall annoying zombies by planting on top of them.

• Ents' name is a plural despite being a singular entity.
• Hammerflower's Plant Food hammer can be seen in Ent's spritesheet.
• Ents can't be used in Sky City, because it attacks by making roots pop out of the ground.
• It’s impossible for Ents to heal itself if it’s hit by Perfume Zombie’s perfume.
