Ents (树灵护卫; pinyin: shù líng hù​wèi) is a new plant added in the April update as an unlockable plant for the new Fairytale Forest world.

Ents is a defensive plant that summons damaging spikes from underneath the two tiles ahead of it. These spikes are able to destroy multiple rolling items in a similar manner to Spikeweed, but are able to still be summoned afterwards. Ents is also able to restore health it sustains from blocking off zombies.

When Ents is placed directly in front of a Hat Mushroom, Ents will begin to restore 20% of its health every time it attacks.

Origins

Ents is named after the Ents, a fictional species of giants who grow to resemble trees as they age, that appear in author J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings series.
