With[]
Electrician is a very versatile card due to his ability. Playing him early can help clear out the field, remove the freeze effect from a zombie or to do some early damage to your opponent. The best way to use this is playing swarms of cheap zombies and have one with enough strength so they can get a bonus attack in and do serious damage. Compared to Lurch for Lunch, he is more expensive, but is not impaired by Anti-Trick decks as much, which is useful against Black-Eyed Pea, Sportacus, and Brainana. However, this makes him more vulnerable to Wing-Nut, since your opponent can play it immediately after and unlike with Tricks, you can't do anything against it. In the late-game, activating his ability on a powerful zombie can end your opponent quickly.
As he is a science zombie, combining this zombie with other science cards like Zombot Drone Engineer is recommended. Playing Firefighter or Secret Agent to Bounce him is also a good combo, as you can play Electrician again to do another bonus attack, with Secret Agent being able to compensate for his normally low stats.
Against[]
Because this zombie comes out of a gravestone, you should definitively use Grave Buster to deal with this zombie, assuming that he was played. If that is not possible, the player can try and use a plant in front of the gravestone and plan accordingly, or remove any zombies he would have supported. If you see a strong zombie and a gravestone on board while you are against a Brainy Hero, they may have played Electrician in an attempt to sneak a bonus attack in. It is highly not recommended to Bounce him unless you can win by doing so, as he can be replayed for another Bonus Attack. Wing-Nut can also negate his ability and be played in advance to negate his ability, although do beware without extra sun production to keep it up, Wing-Nut will definitely come later than Electrician, and would only be useful in later turns as a deterrent.
You can also heal the damaged plant or your hero to reduce the impact of his bonus attack if you believe you can survive it.

Trivia[]
The word "charges" in his description has a double meaning. The first means that he gets paid for every hour he works and the second refers to electricity, referring to the fact that he attacks plants with it.
Before update 1.14.13, there was a glitch where if there was Headstone Carver on the field, and this zombie gets destroyed after activating his ability on himself on plants like Potato Mine, Hothead or Prickly Pear (which causes them to damage him), Headstone Carver would have attempted to boost him despite Electrician being destroyed. This resulted in a softlock, requiring the player or their opponent to concede.
The Super Brainz Premium Pack still shows him with his old design.
He and Landscaper are the only engineer variants in PvZ Heroes.
He is one of the only zombie cards in the game along with Deep Sea Gargantuar, Cardboard Robot Zombie, Hippity Hop Gargantuar, Team Mascot, Fishy Imp and Zombot Plank Walker to have one of 3 possible sounds play when spawned. Out of these, him along with Deep Sea Gargantuar are the only Super Rare cards.
