Dollarweed Drummer (铜钱草鼓手: tóngqián cǎo gǔshǒu) is a monthly special plant in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. He was released on September 23, 2020 to celebrate the 7th Anniversary of Plants vs. Zombies 2's release in China.

He buffs plants' attack strength, speed, health, and defense, with a stronger buff being given to music-based "Orchestra plants." The list of Orchestra plants currently comprises the following plants:

• Trump Tulip
• Phat Beet
• Sunflower Singer
• Banana Dancer
• Ghost Pepper

Origins

Dollarweed Drummer is based on the dollarweed, a semi-aquatic perennial weed in the genus Hydrocotyle.

His ability as a drummer is based on how the leaves of the dollarweed resemble drum cymbals.

  • Coincidentally, they are both music-based and were released to celebrate the anniversary of Plants vs. Zombies 2's release in China.
• When he buffs Orchestra plants, he makes a sound from Stallia but when fed with Plant Food, he makes a sound from Sunflower Singer.
