Coffee Zombie is a premiumsuper-rarezombiecard in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and a member of the Hearty class. He costs 6 to play and has 5/4. He doesn't have any traits, and his ability gives all zombies on the field, including him, +1/+1 and the Frenzy trait when he is played.
His appearance seems to be inspired by a stereotypical hipster or at least shares some traits with one, both wear a plaid shirt, sport a beard, and don headphones and a pair of glasses.
His ability to give all zombies on the field the Frenzy trait is a reference to hyperactivity caused by a high intake of caffeine.

Strategies[]
With[]
By himself, he is a 6/5 zombie with Frenzy. While these stats are high, it still has weaker stats than other cards with the same cost and constitues a slight loss of tempo unless you have other zombies on the field, as he gives them a small boost and the Frenzy trait. Much like Orchestra Conductor and Gadget Scientist, sufficient board control is preferred to maximise this zombie's effectiveness. It is generally a good idea to play Coffee Zombie when there are strong zombies on the field such as Defensive End and Zombot Sharktronic Sub, so they can smash through plants and do massive damage to your opponent more easily; alternatively, Coffee Zombie can upgrade a field of zombies with middling stats into an impressive board-wide threat.
Since he gives other zombies the Frenzy trait, The Smash can use him in tandem with Ancient Vimpire to give them constant stat boosts.
Coffee Zombie faces competition against Going Viral, a trick in the same class that effectively has the same ability but costs 3 less, can't be completely depleted (as it shuffles 3 copies of itself into your deck when played) and draws a card. In comparison, Coffee Zombie's advantage is providing a 6/5 zombie in addition to the fieldwide buff. The choice of which to run generally depends on the deck.
Against[]
Prioritize on taking care of lanes with the strongest zombies. Instant-kills work best, but you can use your plants to make an exchange. (Note that they must be able to destroy the zombie in a single attack.) If there are too many threats to handle, play a mass removal card like Doom-Shroom, Tactical Cuke or Kernel Corn. Do not Bounce Coffee Zombie when there are a swarm of zombies on the field, as your opponent may choose to replay him.
