Coconut Cannon is based on the seed of the coconut tree (Cocos nucifera), more commonly known as the coconut.
His design also draws influence from cannons.
History[]
Plants vs. Zombies 2[]
- Main article: Coconut Cannon (PvZ2)

Coconut Cannon's first appearance in the series is in Plants vs. Zombies 2 as the fifth plant unlocked in the Pirate Seas after beating Day 11 of Pirate Seas. When tapped, he will fire a coconut down his lane, dealing massive damage to the zombie hit by it, as well as dealing splash to other zombies in a 3x3 area. After firing the coconut, he is unable to fire again for 15 seconds.
He is a member of the Arma-mint family, who lets his cannonball deal an additional 1,200 damage and let him recharge in only two seconds while he is on the lawn. His Plant Food effect has him fire a massive coconut, pushing any zombie it hits back until it hits the edge or certain obstacles, in which it then explodes in a 3x3 area, dealing 1,200 damage to any zombie in the blast. The effect however resets Coconut Cannon's recharge back to 15 seconds.
Garden Warfare series[]
- Main article: Tallnut Cannon

Coconut Cannon next appears as a cameo in the Wall-nut Hills map at the final objective.
He fires Tallnuts down the pathway to Crazy Dave's mansion, which instantly vanquish anyone hit by them, zombie or plant.
Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars (China only) (Archived content)[]
- Main article: Coconut line

Coconut Cannon's latest appearance was in the Chinese-exclusive turn-based game Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars as the second plant in the Coconut line, evolving from Coconut Sniper and evolving into Coconut Rocket Launcher. He attacked by shooting exploding coconuts and specialized in dealing with boss supporters.
His active ability was Blinding Volley, which dealt damage to all the enemies in his lane with a chance to blind them, making them less accurate for two turns while his passive ability was Target Locked, which made his normal attacks deal damage to the backmost target with an increased chance to land a critical hit.
His soulmates were members of the Sunflower line for a health boost, members of the Tree line for a boost to his critical hit chance, and members of the Charm line and Corn lines together for an attack boost.
