Cloudy Day is a game mode exclusive to Replanted version of Plants vs. Zombies. In this gamemode, clouds will occasionally appear in the level and sun-producing plants will sleep during that duration. Sun-shroom cannot be used in this mode. Plant prices are also halved during this duration, while recharging times are now twice as fast. Occasionally during the sunny durations of the gamemode, tiny Suns can spawn alongside regular-sized Suns, which are worth about 15.
This is one of the three new game modes introduced in Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, with the others being Bonus Levels! and Rest In Peace.

- While Sunflowers sleep during the raining periods, this does not also guarantee that any type of mushrooms will awaken during this as well, and still require a Coffee Bean.
