Strategies
With
Cattail is meant to be one of those plants that have average stats, cost, and no ability. She is similar to Template:PvZHLink, but with slightly greater cost and the Amphibious trait, as well as the lack of pea tribe synergy, which means that Cattail cannot be boosted by Template:PvZHLink or The Podfather.
After the swap on strength and health, Cattail can now easily be destroyed by Template:PvZHLink or Bungee Plumber, but she is now immune to Rolling Stone or Weed Spray. Because of this, almost all Amphibious zombies can destroy Cattail in one hit, so try to boost or protect Cattail if possible. However, if there is no sign of Amphibious zombies, Cattail can become a useful plant in the aquatic lane, especially with Green Shadow who can boost her with Fertilize, Embiggen, etc. Since she has the Amphibious trait, you can also boost her with Navy Bean to make her much more powerful. This opens it up to being destroyed by Rocket Science, however.
Against
Cattail doesn't have much health, so she can be easily taken care of by any Amphibious zombie (except Swabbie and Template:PvZHLink) or any damaging trick. However, she hits hard for her cost and has the Amphibious trait, she can whittle on your health quite a bit if you are not prepared. She also cannot be destroyed by Rolling Stone, Weed Spray, or Rocket Science if her strength is kept at 3, so you can either use a strength-lowering card or wait for Green Shadow or Nightcap to give her a strength boost.
However, most classes should have ways of dealing with Cattail anyway. Sneaky and Beastly heroes can use Amphibious zombies, while Crazy heroes have access to Bungee Plumber and other damaging tricks, and finally, Hearty heroes can move her out of the aquatic lane. Brainy heroes, however, have no direct method of getting rid of Cattail unless she has been boosted, but it is a minor problem since they also lead another class anyway.
