Bramble Bush is a Trap plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 9.6.1 update for the Bramble Bush's Barbed Arena season. He traps a zombie close to him and will continuously damage it. While Bramble Bush traps a zombie, he will also damage zombies that attack him. Additionally, he can remove armor from zombies that are dragged.
Trapped zombies are knocked back when Bramble Bush is eaten, destroyed, or dug up. This can be blown away by a Blover.
Origins

Bramble Bush is based on the bramble plant, a thorny vine plant with berries in the genus Rubus.

Strategies
Bramble Bush is a good plant for delaying. His ability allows a zombie to be stunned until death. This makes it more effective than Spikeweed, Spikerock and Iceweed. The first two do nothing but dealing damage, while the latter can only slow down zombies. At level 1, Bramble Bush's damage is 3 times that of Spikeweed/Iceweed, 1.5 times that of Spikerock. Each level upgrades also increases damage more than they do. It's best to place a defensive plant such as Buttercup in front of Bramble Bush or Pumpkin on top of Bramble Bush as long as there is a zombies trapped by him. His fast recharge time and low sun cost allow you to plant Bramble Bush frequently, overcoming the problem that he can only use a certain number of times.
Bramble Bush is also a good hand at killing Zombie Chickens, Ice Weasels and other critters, as they won't consume his berries when trapping these things, and his high health and fast attack speed allows him to do this with almost no risk. He can also consume his berries to destroy Barrels from Barrel Roller Zombies, which makes him more effective than Spikerock because he costs less sun.
Bramble Bush's ability to remove armor directly is extremely good against zombies such as Brickheads, Knights and especially Excavator Zombies. It can be used to stop All-Star Zombies and ZCorp Chair Racers from tackling plants as Bramble Bush will immediatly stop the zombie when charging.
Bramble Bush is quite useful for taking down stronger zombies like Robo-Cone Zombie, as it won’t let go until the zombie is killed. However, this may be difficult when zombies are in large quantities, as it may get overwhelmed and eaten, especially considering the time it would take to kill such an armored zombie. Another strong zombie it can kill is a Gargantuar, as if planted on top of a Gargantuar, it will become defenseless and trapped in the Bramble Bush. This is also a good way to beat some levels, as the Gargantuar’s high health usually makes it one of the last zombies left, potentially overcoming the issue of being overwhelmed.
Bramble Bush is a nice choice against Mecha-Football Zombie, as it cannot be pushed back by it. However, like all robots, it will take a long time to kill, allowing it to be eaten by other zombies.
