Blaze Leaf actually meditates in the Zen Garden to control his temper. Anyone to disturb that can expect all hell to break loose on the lawn as Blaze Leaf can be seen chasing the poor soul, launching its flame waves at them. This can go on for the whole morning, often destroying the lawn. Dave hasn’t even dared to suggest an anger management course knowing what may follow. He has just accepted the fact and actually treats it as a morning call to wake up.

Blaze Leaf is a premium plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 11.8.1 update. He is a fire plant that deals damage to zombies in an approximate 3x3 area. Blaze Leaf is able to release a special attack every third attack, dealing damage across three lanes. This attack can either be fired left or right, depending on the direction it is facing.

His Blaze Wave attack can instantly kill critters, and is blocked by shield and Camel Zombies.

Origins

Though never explicitly stated, Blaze Leaf appears to be based on the flame lily (Gloriosa superba). This is likely the source of his fire abilities as well.

When given Plant Food, Blaze Leaf launches a swirling fiery wave of energy, damaging all the zombies on the lawn.

Pepper-mint effect

When boosted by Pepper-mint, Blaze Leaf will deal double damage with both his normal and wave attacks, an additional 250/350/450/550/650/750/850/950/1050/1250 damage with his Plant Food attack, his warming effect is increased as if he was at level 10.
