Plants vs. Zombies Wiki

Prior to the 7.4 update, Ancient Egypt - Day 29 was the 29th day of Ancient Egypt. The level is a special delivery level. Upon completing the level, the player would receive a money bag.

As of the 7.4 update, level expansions were removed from the world maps and placed into epic quests. Because of this, this level is no longer accessible from the map, and must be accessed when the epic quest is available.

Difficulty[]

The player cannot choose their own plants. Instead, they are given the plants via conveyor-belt. Therefore, the player is limited to what plants they can use to defend against the zombies. On the other hand, sun is not necessary in this level, because plants given by the conveyor-belt are free. This level can be extremely difficult to complete, especially with many Mummified Gargantuars, not to mention some of them appear in sandstorms.

In the early game, the conveyer belt provides strong plants, such as Melon-pult and Pea Pod, but these plants soon stop appearing. These plants must be carefully protected, as they cannot be replaced. With some skilled use of Plant Food and Mower Launch, this level can be beaten consistently with only level 1 plants. However, beating it without Lawn Mowers is extremely difficult and depends heavily on RNG.

Strategies[]

Try to stall the first wave, so the conveyer belt provides Melon-pults as long as possible. Ideally, you should have 3 melon-pults before the conveyer belt stops providing them. You can plant Pea Pods in every lane, or just the lanes that do not have Melon-pults; it is difficult to say which is better. Once the conveyer belt stops providing Pea Pods, you'll have to regularly replant Kernel-pults and Repeaters.

Make sure the zombies do not eat your Melon-pults or Pea Pods, as you cannot replant these in the mid to late game. Use your Kernel-pults and Repeaters as blockers, especially against Pyramid-Heads and Gargantuars. In some cases, you'll need to use Plant Food on a Repeater to deal with these tough zombies. You may need to use Plant Food on a Kernel-pult as well.

If zombies are about to eat a Melon-pult or Pea Pod, use Mower Launch. This ensures that you'll keep your most valuable plants for the end of the level. On the final wave, if you cannot defend all 5 lanes, prioritize the lane(s) that have already lost Lawn Mowers.

Trivia[]

  • Other than in Piรฑata Parties, this is the first level in which a Gargantuar_(PvZ2) can appear via a sandstorm.
  • Sometimes in the iOS version of the game, the Pea Pods will come as normal seed packets, but when planted they will appear as a shadow and will not damage the zombies. Also they can still be eaten by zombies and planted on top of each other. The reason and fixing for this glitch is still unknown.
  • Though it is a Special Delivery level and no sun appears, Ra Zombies do make their appearance in this level.
