Các zombie là những xác chết phân hủy, không có suy nghĩ, vô thức và thèm muốn bộ não con người. Chúng là những kẻ cần tiêu diệt chính của Plants vs. Zombies, mục tiêu của trò chơi là để ngăn cản chúng ăn não của người chơi. Xác sống, giống như đối thủ của chúng, các cây trồng, rất đa dạng về sức mạnh cũng như tốc độ, và có nhiều khía cạnh độc đáo mà phải phản ứng một cách thích hợp.

Balloon Zombie Balloon Zombie1 Floats over the ground. Protected from ground attacks; however, it can be blown away by Blovers and its balloon can be popped by Cactus and Cattail. 11
