At first I was unsure due to some unfortunate events in the past, but I realized that squirrel and tclp have also had some bad historic moments and yet they’re quite good staff. I support this, considering you’ve improved and your mainspace activity is good.
I personally think the discord’s a great place. It has its drama, it has its problems, but it’s such a fun place to go/be. Even as a regular non-staff user you can still have fun and make an impact. Some people blame the activity drop on the discord, but I think there are a lot of variables that haven’t been considered for that.
Not personally bothered by this change, but I suppose I agree to unclutter talk pages slightly.
PvZH: Everyone knows that a giant telephone pole brandished by a Gargantuar only does 1 damage, while far more damage is done by an octopus, a rubber chicken or ...a different giant telephone pole brandished by a different Gargantuar?
Maybe it's just because i'm bad at it, but I personally don't like Battlez much. It seems too regular PvZ-ish. They didn't really change much in the core gameplay itself, other than the more-points-for-zombies-farther-from-the-house mechanic.
I think if done well enough, the changes this thread proposes would work. But the problem is that miscommunication in the discord led to misunderstanding and rushing, which led to a somewhat sloppy and unclear, which led to confusing flip-flops and arbitrary deadlines. I'd almost enjoy seeing this thread be done well, but for the time being the changes this thread advocates are simply too muddled to go through with.

But staff are still random people. Once again, Zambies and Cams aren't one in a lifetime occurences. That could happen with any staff, and it's possible that it could happen in this system. I knoe the chances are low, but they're there and they shouldn't really be.

Then let's not bring up communism and dictatorships into a discussion over a forum? Thanks.
So all power being taken by staff is not essentially oligarchy? Sure, it's not people being killed, but it's still people having complete power.
Let's not idolize them either. They're still people, as you said. Their decisions aren't always perfect.
You're scarin me, Jack. This is sounding more and more eerily similar to certain communist countries' governments.
Although this change favours me, there's something about it that just repels me. The problem with this is that it assumes staff always make decisions for the best. But that's far from the case. Take Camwood777, a former ADMINISTRATOR, who told me to shove a cheese grater up somewhere I won't even mention. Zambiealex, a former CONTENT MODERATOR, who threatened to make my girlfriend hate me just so he could date me after seeing my face reveal. And that's just what's happened to me. Sure, these are sparse cases, but the thought of these people getting more of their voice heard than some amazing regular users like AWB and Whatevz is kind of sad. We worked fine for a long time as a democracy. The vote threads about one single apostrophe were only caused by a few users. This is not to say that the whole idea is flawed. I have two suggestions:
OR
These are just a few suggestions. Let me know if they need tweaking. Hopefully we'll all come to a reasonable understanding.

Only Gold Magnet, and it's still awesome! Tell me you've never gold farmed with gold magnet. Come on.
PvZ2: Pepper-pult, Puff-shroom
PvZH: Magnifying Grass, Louthmouth Imp, Mondo Bronto
Oh GOD yes, it's underrated! Mondo + Terrify instantly destroys a plant and boosts Bronto! It's basically Locusts for Hearty!
Congratulations to everyone that won!

GOLD MAGNET GOLD MAGNET GOLD MAGNET GOLD MAGNET GOLD MAGNET GOLD MAGNET GOLD MAGNET GOLD MAGNET GOLD MAGNET
ETC.
If you've ever taken a peek at my userpage you'd see that there are two plants I really, really love. Mayflower (which is rated highly [and deservedly] so i can't say it's underrated) and GOLD MAGNET. My username on a lot of platforms is TheGoldMagnet. Some plants are underrated like Sap-fling, Gloom-shroom, Primal Peashooter and Ghost Pepper. Some zombies are underrated like Mime Garg, Evolutionary Leap (+plank walker or another 8 cost equals instant zombot) and Terrify (+mondo bronto = basically instant locust swarm.) But by far I have to say the most underrated plant in the HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE is GOLD MAGNET!
Edit: If we're counting Plant and Zombie Heroes, then Solar Flare, Nightcap and Immorticia are heavily underappreciated. SF and Nightcap are gods of removal and even greater at late game/zoo decks, while Immorticia has absolute TONS of synergy.
These are a list of the special things about certain basic zombies.
Basic Modern Day/Player's House Zombies- Nothing special
Ancient Egypt zombies- Can appear in sandstorms.
Pirate Seas zombies- Nothing special.
Wild West zombies- Piano affects them.
Far Future Zombies- Nothing special.
Frostbite Caves zombies- Immune to freezing, can only be chilled.
Lost City zombies- Can be carried by bugs.
Dark Ages zombies- Can be Knighted by Zombie King.
Neon Mixtape Tour Zombies- Movement affected by jams (yes, not just MC, Glitter, Punk, Breakdancer and Arcade are affected.)
Big Wave Beach zombies- Nothing special (that I remember off the top of my head.)
Jurassic Marsh zombies- Can be carried by pterodactyls.
A lot of opposers are claiming that all the pages would just be the same and there'd be so much copy pasting it would be redundant. But as you can see from the differences above, there are 3 zombies in the international version that have nothing special about them. That's not even counting Sky City zombies' ability to fly, or Kongfu World zombies' ability to pick up stuff from weapon stands. Simply put, merging these all into one is like merging all the Peashooters from Garden Warfare into one page. They may all be Peashooters, but they are very different.
